Quest The Hero Of Gavel Playability

No offense to the people who made this quest,

I’m not even though the quest yet,

But I despise it’s design so far.




You get softlocked into a certain ending if you make a mistake, And if you use a quest guide, it sucks all the immersion out of the quest.

Hell, even with a quest guide if you mess up you’re screwed.

The bulk of this quest pokes more fun at human error than entertaining the thought of choice, and I find that basis pretty terrible for an MMORPG.

This can be remedied by a “try again” mechanic to focus more on choice than a human flaw.






Just to clarify:
I’m not trying to put down the quest creators, I know they are very capable and brilliant people! I just want them to be aware of a potential flaw :)

i agree. failing that trap puzzle thing three times in a row (and coming very close to finishing twice) is really annoying, as the only way to retry is to level a class to level 99, which is stupid.

otherwise the quest is coolant

 

Gurix dying is annoying but it's literally the entire point of the quest. The agent key is supposed to be hard to get
