Seems like the constructive-feedback channel on the discord is a bit of a mess, and someone told me to post it here.

It's definitely a great step to introduce Gathering XP and Speed IDs, resource areas, and quest rewards for professions in 1.20. But, I think crafting got left behind here.

It would be pretty nice if using your own crafted items gave you a bit of XP for that crafting profession. You could gain XP on use, for consumables, or for equipment, gain it when you repair an item. Of course, this would only apply to your own items, since otherwise people could sell itemized XP on the market.

Right now it just seems like an oversight that in order to gain Crafting XP, you have to grind for stacks of ingredients and materials, mass-craft identical items, and then sell/scrap them away. Rewarding players that actually utilize what they craft would give the grind some well-deserved depth.

This is a creative idea! It would certainly make the crafting grind much, much easier. One problem I have with the crafting system is that it is completely separate from your normal level, and because of this I am not entirely inclined to work on leveling up to 100 all over again. I can see Players using crafted gear for each level band they're in, and by the time they reach 100 they're skilled enough in Woodworking to construct a viable wand!
