Add The Fleris Pet To Wynncraft

I memed this for a while on Discord, but I actually think that the Fleris would be a great, low value pet on the store. Kinda like how the Rat pet was pre-1.20.

So, as many of you may or may not know, the fleris has been an integral part of Wynncraft's history since right before the Gavel update. It was depicted in a teaser art:


Salted is also aware the Fleris Pet movement exists, but sadly it was not added to the store as of 1.20. I'm here to change that.


Anyways, the Fleris was one of the many mobs added in the Gavel Update. According to Selvut283 and Oculism_, the plural of "fleris" is "flerisi". This is absolutely idiotic but it is also canon.


There are many different types of flerisi in the 1.20 update, but before then there really was not too much fleris involvement. The main three kinds of fleris in the game were the "Warm Fleris", a passive mob living in fenced-off fire pits outside Rodoroc and in the Molten Heights, the "Fleris Matriarch", a much larger neutral mob that spawned close to the Warm Fleris.

There is also a hostile mob called the "Canyon Fleris" that spawns in the passageway beteween the Canyon of the Lost and Molten Heights.


However, there is also a quest that involves the glorious fleris. It is called "From the Mountains", and involves, guess what, the fleris. Before the 1.20 update, you just have to kill all the Fleris so that this guy doesn't boil from the inside out, but in the 1.20 update, the species of Fleris is also given a lot of extra lore.

During the quest, Axelus, that guy from Molten Heights, mentions that Flerisi are kept as pets in Molten Heights. I'm not going to spoil the quest any further, but you should absolutely do it. About half the quest is saving cute adorable Flerisi from the Flerisi traffickers. It's great.

In addition to this, a small Fleris is shown being killed by the Dwarven Army at the beginning of the Molten Heights Ultimate Discovery. It is absolutely crushing and whoever made that should be fired immediately. How dare they.


In conclusion, the Fleris should absolutely be added as a pet to Wynncraft. It is a literal pet, and has been around in the background of the game for multiple years, as well as being absolutely adorable. Thank you.

honestly, it makes less sense to NOT have flerisi as a pet option, since flerisi are already pets in the lore, kinda like wybels, but with actual holding pens for them!

1.20 is the perfect update to include fleris pet. They were given so much more lore (including the fact that they are canonically kept as pets), the canyon fleris spawns in more places, and a new fleris variety was added in the canyon colossus raid, and technically another one in the reworked From the Mountains quest. It would be a disservice to gavel lore NOT to include at least one variety of fleris pet.

 

So a lot of you probably know that there used to be Gold Coins you could buy on the wynncraft store many years ago. With those coins you could buy bombs, shouts, and various pets. One of the pets that you could purchase was a Magma Cube.

And, well... I guess I'm now the owner of the world's first Fleris pet.



So... yeah. Fleris pet is technically in game. But I definitely think it should be added to the store so that more of you can become as cool (or warm?) as me. For now though, the Fleris pet is mine.
