The endgame, especially with The Canyon Colossus and a buffed LI, heavily favors defensive builds, and any build without Fire or Air will not be viable.

    Why?
Endgame enemies now have a lot of health, and hit hard. They also have no natural health regen. This means that all you have to do to beat them is have a lot of health and health regen or life steal, and hit them for a long period of time. The meta is long boring boss fights that you are discouraged from using strength or dexterity in.

    What is the solution?
The solution is twofold. I do not suggest that we should go back to so much health regen on bosses that solo average Joe players have no chance. What works is the damage per second checks that the canyon colossus and the eye have: the colossal cores and the deathknell wretches. However, if your damage isn't good enough because you're too tanky, you shouldn't just be able to tank it out.

The other solution is more important.
Earth and Thunder buffs need to scale at the same rate as Defense and Agility do.
That means that damage in earth/thunder builds would actually be as good at dealing damage as tank builds are at being tanky.
So for each point you put in strength, your damage (including raw damages, calculated after all %s) would increase by
    ~1% * (100 + current damage bonus from strength)
Dexterity should just be that for each point you put in, it increases your chance to do 2x damage.
Each point you put in would increase your crit chance by
    ~1% * (100 + current crit chance from dexterity.)
If your crit chance goes over 100%, just make every hit do 2x damage, and make the crit chance >100% be the chance to do triple.

Alternatively, nerf Def/Agi, and rebalance the whole endgame again. @hppeng suggested this
For short term, could you at least make similar EHP attainable without needing def or agi?

Yes please. While I also think defensive skill points are absolutely busted, just nerfing those would still leave strength and dexterity in the dust as well. A buff is definitely needed. There's no conceivable reason to invest any spare skill points in strength or dexterity unless you don't have any allocated defensive skill points in the first place (in which case you're probably using both strength and dexterity at the same time, which is terrible as well). If gear requirements didn't exist, strength and dexterity would be obsolete.
