Does your inventory regularly get occupied by pesky stacks of emeralds? Do you throw them away, just so there's that extra space for some materials or potions? If so, introducing the ECU, an item that will make your day brighter!

    The Idea:
The emerald compression unit takes a stack of emeralds and compresses them into an emerald block, saving you your inventory space. With this handy device you'll only need one inventory slot to fit a liquid emerald worth of emerald blocks, without having to go to a town! Simply place the compression unit in your inventory and collect a stack of emeralds. The ECU will automatically output the emerald block to another inventory slot. If you ever get annoyed by the compression unit you just hold it in your hand and right click to deactivate it.

That's great and all, but does this fit lore-wise?
Well yes surely it would! The Corkians have a working LE machine in their bank, but it appears that some parts need to be renewed. An engineer located under the stairs of the Corkian Bank is repairing the machine and found some 'spare parts' within. He'll gladly sell you these 'parts' for some LE, because he believes they 'weren't useful anyways'. Right clicking on him opens a shop where the ECU can be bought.

    Wouldn't this be OP?
No, the ECU will only be available in Corkus, which is an lvl 85+ area. (Mobs drop a lot of emeralds at this stage of the game.) Additionally it could also be locked behind a quest such as "The Envoy part II". Lastly there could also be a recharge table near the bank so the player can recharge the battery of the ECU. (This will be free, but makes sure that you need to go back to Corkus from time to time.) Even with a lot of loot bombs, daily totems and loot runs you'll not get a stack of emerald blocks quickly.

What do you think of the ECU? Leave your Additions in the Comments. Criticism is always apreciated!

This seems to be a pretty good idea, in my eyes! Of course, I'd say that it should do something such as tax the Emeralds you gain (like 1 emerald you pick up out of 3 gets converted into energy to keep the machine going), but that's about it!
Now I want to see Corkus even more, but I'm only Lvl 45...

1.20 gives pets that can do bank run (although I will probably never use this feature to keep my bank clean,) I think that may be a better solution. also banks are one of the few reasons to go into town, so no.

Ice Bear thinks you are vastly underestimating how much players can make with the ECU. For example Ice Bear can easily get 1 LE from a 20 minute Corkus lootrun and this is only possible because Ice Bear makes 3 bank stops during the lootrun. Ice Bear says eliminating the need to visit a bank to clear the inventory would allow Ice Bear to get a ridiculous amount of emeralds. Ice Bear's inventory fills up with emeralds around 2-3 times before each bank stop so it could fill up to 9 times in one run so that means Ice Bear now can make nearly 4 LE per Corkus lootrun within 20 minutes. Ice Bear says combine this with looting multiple regions and it becomes very clear why an ECU would be OP.

As for your requirements, it doesn't do much. The players who will abuse this will have easily completed the requirements of being 85+ and completing The Envoy Part II. Ice Bear would recommend giving some other non level related downside to balance this. Ice Bear says maybe a walk speed debuff because the machine is heavy?

The -WS thing is interesting and i do still think it should consume like 1/4 of your emeralds using it the WS thing could be bypassable by most people who have a little bit of Walkspeed even on their lootrunning builds, and with weapons like warp which give at max 220% WS this would basically do nothing. So I recommend something like -LB and have it be an accessory of some kind. Maybe in the shield slot? It could have a major ID that goes like:

+Compression: You can right click a stack of emeralds to turn them into one EB at the cost of this machine consuming 1/4 of the emeralds you pick up.

Ill make the item i have in mind on wynndata . (Yes it's a necklace shut up, it also won't have the major ID on the item for obvious reasons.)

I added a bunch of negative stats that would associate with having a giant emerald making machine on your back. (-spell and main attack damage, -WS, attack speed and -loot and xp bonus.)
This might be too many negatives but im not sure.

Ice Bear thinks a negative loot quality and negative loot bonus ID would be an interesting tradeoff for the ECU. Ice Bear says it will discourage lootrunners from using it and help regular adventurers in their inventory management.

Yeah, but Ice Bear forgets that if your LB/LQ is high enough to climb over the negative it won't matter. Yet, if the negatives are too much then it'll affect how many emeralds you get. Though better than ECU go brrrrrrrrrrrr

Now onto a serious idea of this... Inventory management is part of MMO's and while sometimes you can buy backpacks/inventory upgrades... The ECU just isn't this. One can literally throw a totem down and then get 10 LE in the span of a few hours just by clicking/spell casting.

If you're having issues with inventory space, might be better to make up a suggestion that is a money sink. Devs get off to that stuff, seriously CT Group Chat is literally just 'MoNeY sInKs?!?!?'

Just don't really see a reason for this honestly. It's a well written suggestion just with bad execution imo
