Pvp Arenas

    This isn't an insanely developed suggestion, just an idea.

    What if there was an arena in every major city, with a certain level range of people who can enter, to fight in an arena?

    The arenas would have ~1 to 2 minute rounds of different gamemodes, which could be TDM, Duos, FFA, etc. While one game is being played, you could enter a queue to enter the next round, and once one round ends the next starts and tosses everyone in queue in.

    Before starting the round, everyone in queue could vote on what they want to play (TDM, FFA, or Duos) and then some team balancer would make teams, then start the round.

    Different cities would have different arenas for their skill level. The skill level would be equal to or slightly higher than the cities level. Ideas for what these could be:
    (skill level in tis case would be combat level)

    Ragni Arena: 5 - 15
    Detlas Arena: 15 - 25
    Selchar Arena: 25 - 35
    Almuj Arena: 35 - 45
    Llevigar Arena: 45-55
    Troms Arena: 55-65
    Pirate Arena: 65-75
    Cinfras Arena: 75-85
    Corkus Arena: 85-95
    Rodorroc Arena: 95+
    Lutho Arena: 100+

    Lower level arenas would be much smaller in size than larger arenas. For example, the Ragni Arena would probably be a circle with a ~15 block diameter, while the Rodorroc Arena might be ~50 blocks in diameter.

    Because players can do much more damage than they have health, players would do a scaled down amount of damage to other players. For example, maybe 1/3 the damage. I haven't dont any pvp any higher than level 80, so im not sure exactly how this might work with higher levels.

    I'll develop this idea later when I have time. This is just a quick idea I thought of.

    5minute rounds? 30 seconds at max

    The problem is that with most builds you can easily one-shot your opponent, thus making PvP quite pointless.

    It would be like the nether, highest kill count wins. But I guess shorter rounds would make sense.

    Afaik Nether was removed because no one used it.

    From my perspective fix PvP first

    I dunno why nether was removed but I used it all the time

    I think PvP could be fixed if players took less damage from other players than mobs. The issue is bosses have super inflated health, and players do super inflated damage. If damage from players to other players was scaled down to compensate for the health difference, it would work out.

    Im thinking maybe 1/3, potions could handle the rest, but I never did pvp at a high level (85-100) so im not sure how it is.

    I like the idea. PVP def needs a fox bc toxo builds can just instakill ppl. Tbh I think poision should not be able to be used on players. Seccond, there should b a dmg reduction in pvp. Someone made a great pvp revamp post a while ago. I think we should use that system

    Pvp is really broken as of right now, with poison builds shredding through def/agi, and a duel is just a matter of if you can one-hit your opponent or not. Plus, some classes are more suitable for pvp than others, such as archer having really long range, and assassin's vanish. I saw a pretty well-developed pvp rework suggestion a while back, can't seem to find it anymore .-. If they ever do rework pvp into something that isn't a one-hit-ko kind of combat and actually enjoyable, then I'd love to see this idea in-game

    Ahmsord is a high level city, but its not a densely populated city.

    And there could be an arena in Luthp, I guess, but I didn't think that would fit the idea. Plus corkus and Rodoroc already took the 85+ level range
    I included somewhere that pvp damage would be reduced

    But duels are only 1v1s, not 1v1v1v1v1v1v1s

    honestly i would like some more work on pvp and some balancing for it but at the current state pvp is kinda just spam and 1 shot

    I don't think so personally, PvP is horrendously unbalanced (and not to mention a touch boring) and these areas would have to be quite big and take up a lot of room unneccsarily.

    I'm sorry but it's a no from me, thanks for sharing though!

    As long as it's not exactly the same as The Nether, I'd be down to see it. It'd be interesting to see different cities as a battleground rather than a place to go afk and buy/sell stuff

    You literally can’t access Lutho until lvl 100+, so having the arena at 90+ makes no sense at all.
