Player Safety Demand

    Ok Ima start by sayin this isnt a request. This is a demand. For a while now people have been suggesting that there needs to be something to tell players in chat that towns are not safe/that town respawns should give a small invincibility so you can't be spawn camped by mobs when your respawning. Today in detlas a bunch of SE mobs were in the town killing lvl 15s. According to the players they died and lost all their stuff. They were quite angry. I changed worlds and saw multiple of the mobs. While killing the mobs 7 people died. I told everyone to /class logout or change worlds. After 5-10 mins of fighting me and another high lvl player killed the remaining mobs and made sure none were left.

    This is no longer just a slight annoyance. This has become an issue for players in towns overall. Due to detlas being such a low lvl town, the guards are not strong enough nor fast enough to kill off the invaiding mobs. This needs to change.
    1. Hostile mobs should automatically despawn when entering a town to stop playerkills
    2. an ingame message should be added telling players that towns are NOT safe. (many players were confused in chat saying "arnt towns safe?"
    3. Spawn invincibility needs to be added. for at least 30 seconds you are invincible allowing you to get out of danger if hostile mobs are in a town and are repeatedly killing you.

    The above are my ideas for fixes

    This is scary. I've lost all my stuff to being AFK in dumb places and getting killed repeatedly, but this is different. It's players going out of their way to bring dangerous mobs to places where they can easily kill low level players just for spite. Since there's no real way to automatically stop this, there needs to be something done to atleast ensure players can make it out of these situations with less losses than everything. Unless guard mobs were super buffed, or players constantly defended low level areas, random spiteful players can't be stopped.

    And the big thing, correct me if I'm wrong, is that adding a temporary invincibility after respawn would do almost no harm. When you die, you respawn back to the closest city, which is likely too far for anyone to make it into a dangerous place with invincibility still active. And just as some extra prevention, maaaybe make it so you respawn with 0 mana and 0 sprint like when you first join.

    TL;DR, Add a respawn invincibility like the originil post said. Please.

    is it not bannable to purposely bring mobs into towns. Like fair enough a mooshroom or a zombie might follow you in the guards can easily deal with that but bringing SE mobs in, that's no accident. I know people like bringing passive mobs to funny places but maybe there should be some code that stops mobs from being moved from a... idk.. like 50 block radius from where they spawned, so SE mobs simply can't leave SE in the first place, because towns is one thing but still bringing them onto the roads can kill low level players off.

    And I was even on yesterday.. doing quests in Cinfras and Canyon, but if someone had said something in a shout bomb, I would have come over with my mage and just power healed the low level players and dropped meteors just for some spell cycle. Or just brought my morph ninja

    I think that there should be a level limit to the mobs that can go into towns, for example, Ragni has a level cap of 10, Detlas has a level cap of 20, Nemract has a level cap of 30, etc. Since there are some mobs that can spawn in towns (Although in very small quantities) like Bob the Zombie in Ragni, Drunken Property Owner in Nemract, pretty much everyone in Rymek, Nosy Zhight Tourists, and pretty much everyone in Pirate Cove. Otherwise, I agree with your demand, and I would like this fixed to be a problem solved.

    I would say yes, apart from #3, that seems a bit op (unless it's only in towns and turns off when you leave them)

    hi yes i definitely support changing this.
    however, doing things that affect how hostile mobs function in towns will cause a couple of issues.

    list of hostile mobs that appear in towns from @Selvut283

    you would need a way to allow for these exceptions which i don't really see a feasible way to do.

    yeah the invincibility only lasts 30 seconds and goes away if u leave a town under that 30 sec

    maybe making the guards 1 tap mobs? that way any mob can enter but the guards will just yeet em. And or, making it so certain mobs cannot enter towns

    hmm maybe towns should be safe places, I personally dont care about it but people can just kill new players ... the CT should change that

    I forget what, but I think I have played a game before that makes you invisible and invincible after you respawn until you move. Something like this could help stop getting killed repeatedly while afk.
