Website & Forums <- A Prefix For Class Ideas, Please?

The title says it all.

Lemme know what you think of adding this!...I guess!

 

I think there used to be one in the past?

Regardless, new class suggestions, quite frankly, NEVER even get considered. Adding a new class takes so much time and effort and can throw fof the balance of the game, it's just a very complicated process. A new class would take a LOT of planning, more than just a suggestion thread.

 

So what? Still there are many of them, so why the tag shouldn't be there? Yes, the pointlessness of them can be discussed, but that doesn't change the reality

 

I feel that world could be changed to gameplay or something, since not all gameplay suggestions are really about the world. Having a special prefix for class suggestions isn't really that important though.

 

There's a lot of them, that's for sure, but most of them are so... Underdeveloped and unconsidered for current balance (aka how items are currently set up would interact with their abilities, how adding items changes the drop tables. Ig it couldn't hurt, but meh, you can point out a class suggestion pretty easy from afar

 

Maybe adding the tag, but also a pinned thread about class suggestions and how hard it is to implement a new class y'know? Idk tbh.

 

When they would be at it, add guides for more suggestions that just classes.

Problem with class suggestions is that they never get considered no matter how good they are whereas the suggestions that have prefixes have a good chance if well built. I would like a subforum for general suggestions called ''Public Concepts'' though where you can design your own classes, quests, etc and the CT can get inspiration from the community by using it. I like to do quest suggestions (i'm actually working on one right now) but the problem is that there's no clear place to put them so I usually just use the suggestion forum. So while I disagree with giving ''Class ideas'' its own tag on the general suggestion forum, I think there is a good alternative solution.

 

So you disagree becausr they aren't considered by ct?

I don't disagree with giving suggestions like these a place to be put but I don't think there should be a class suggestion tag for the main suggestion forum, especially when the main suggestion forum is used for stuff like ''change skill points'' or ''add a sign here'' and not ''add this class plz''

To sum it up, I think that there should be a subforum for this instead of a tag. I don't quite know how that's disagreement considering I'm pretty much upgrading the suggestion

"Upgrading" is subjective. Imo you are revamping it, no upgrading.

 

My opinion, different from others is:

A title for a suggestion about a new class / class update is typically indicative. Therefore, I think it's unnecessary adding more fluff by adding yet another indicator that it's a class suggestion.

For example, your title, "A Prefix for Class Ideas, Please?", is not super indicative that it is about the website/forums. If you added the word "A Forums Prefix..." that would be way more indicative and thus would not require the "Website/Forums" prefix.

Additionally, many users often categorize their thread incorrectly, thus resulting in a misclassification of suggestions which thus leads to suggestions getting lost. Also there have been so many class suggestions thus far that if we add the prefix now you'd still have to use the search bar to find the majority of them.

Otherwise, still a good suggestion.

 

On the otherhand this would allow to very easily search for all class suggestions
