Temple of the Legends is by far one of the worst quests in Wynncraft, being the fetch quest of fetch quests, which is kind of not fitting for what is supposed to be the ULTIMATE quest in Wynn. Here is my idea for a TotL rework, with it instead of being a fetch quest of fetch quests, instead being a choose-your-own-adventure, which will make the quest long, with good replayability. Imo, that would be a great step up from the original fetch quest of fetch quests, characters like Rashyroth and Kelight will be in there, while other characters like Garull and Jorkin will now no longer be affiliated with the TotL.
Stage 1: Speak to the Troms Citizen at [-861, -970]
Troms Citizen: Have you seen the coveted Temple of the Legends yet Wynnic Soldier?
Troms Citizen: You haven’t?! Ragnar is doing an event there today!
Troms Citizen: He is the modern version of Bob! He’ll start very soon!

    Stage 2: Check out what's happening at [-703, -920]
    Troms Citizen: Eeee! It’s Ragnar!
Troms Citizen: Shush! I want to hear his speech!
    Troms Citizen: I have a Ragnar-based stick!
???: Quiet! Quiet! Let Ragnar give his welcoming.
Troms Citizen: Oh my grook! He’s coming!
Ragnar: Shush! Shush! Thank you all for coming here!
Crowd: OH MY GROOK IT’S RAGNAR!!!!
Ragnar: Yes, yes, thank you all for coming. Now onto the orders of matter-
Troms Citizen: Can you sign my portrait?!
Troms Citizen: I want you to enchant this stick!
Troms Citizen: Please let me come up there!
Ragnar: QUIET! Now, onto the matter of why I’m here…
Ragnar: I have been roaming the area of Wynn, finding the best soldiers in the province.
Ragnar: If my crew could introduce themselves…
Ragnar: We have Ensa from the Wynn Plains, Sakimer from the Desert, and O’juib from the Iboju Village. And being the person who will represent Troms… *sigh* The ‘best’ soldier I could find in Troms… Kelight…
Kelight: Jeez Ragnar! You’re really taking your sweet time there! Why exactly am I in your group if I am clearly the only one who can communicate with your team?!
Ragnar: Kelight, we talked about this…
Kelight: And you said ‘Oh, everybody matters as much as you do! It’s all fine! We should all just walk into our deaths against the Corrup-’
Ragnar: We do not talk about the mission in public.
Kelight: Alright, alright… We’re going to kill the Corrupter of Worlds.
    Ragnar: KELIGHT!!!!
Crowd: Let me go! No me! I want to go more than all of you!
Ragnar: Kelight… You just broke the main rule that we all swore to do.
Kelight: Yes, I did. What’re you gonna do about it?
Ragnar: Kelight, you are off of the team.
Kelight: Hah! Like I care! I didn’t even want to be on your team! I can do this whole thing myself!
Ragnar: You will walk to your death if you do so!
Kelight: It’s better than being in this miserable world with you!
Ensa: Come on Kelight, come with me.
Kelight: Oh, what now? I’m going to be escorted by little miss perfect and edgy wannabe? Do not make me guffaw- !
    Ensa: Shut it.
Ragnar: Alright… A position has opened up on the team… I’m going to be honest, anyone who is just a regular citizen cannot come on this mission. If you want to join, come speak with me in front of the Temple of the Legends.
Kelight: Psst! Hey, you! You don’t have to be on his team! I can let you in with no issues! You look well equipped enough! We can show Ragnar his mistake! Just come with me.

Stage 3: Speak to Ragnar in front of the Temple of the Legends(Easier) or speak to Kelight near the South Gate of Troms.
Ragnar: Ah! Finally, a soldier who looks equipped enough! Welcome to the team, um, what is your name?
Ragnar: {Player Name}! Welcome to the team! Everyone here is especially skilled in an art, Ensa is said to be so smart, she is a reincarnation of Ethe!
Ensa: I was a student of Ethe, I trained alongside him in the Nivla Village, and I learned a spell that can prolong my life.
    Ragnar: Sakimer, the silent killer.
    Sakimer: …
Ragnar: Heh, always silent, he always does that when I’m around. And lastly, O’juib! A shaman who combined his Druidistic tribe with Shamanism!
O’juib: Thank you for my introduction, Ragnar, pleased to make your acquaintance.
Ragnar: As Kelight said, we are going to slay the Corrupter of Worlds, and we needed a 5th member. I am proud to introduce you to the team! Our first objective is to go to a small treehouse that presumably belonged to Dwendle, the Air Twain who defended the Jungle long ago. You and Ensa can go, but we also need one more thing…
Ragnar: A Mage of the Ocean needs to give us light dust. Right-click me to go with Sakimer and me, or you can right-click Ensa to go with her.
Stage 3: Go with Ragnar or Ensa
Ensa: So you wish to come with me? Alright. Ragnar, go with Sakimer and O’juib, me and {Player Name} will get the key to the seal.
Ensa: I’ve got a clue about where the key is, it appears to be in a spot between a tree and a mountain, between a trail of slime, there will be a village in the treetops, said to be inhabited by a lunatic. Bit weird, but it’s the only hint I have. Although I think I might know where it is…
Ensa: Follow me or go alone.

Stage 4: Go with Ensa or look for the Treehouse yourself
Ensa: Alright then. I think there might be some hints as to where it is. Try looking at the giant statue in the Tromsian Plaza, which looks a bit significant.

Stage 5: Go to the statue at [-830, -922]
(There will be some parkour up the statue and there will be an inscription NPC at the top of it)
The statue reads “I haven’t dealt with an issue as bad as this. The Gylia Meteors has made my mind worse as it is. It was very bad to research the foreign objects as it was wrong. I wrote this up there to show the whole city my tip. Be warned, for we are not the only ones on this plane of existence...
Those engravings seem to be very strange. You better head back to Ensa.

Stage 6: Go back to Ensa
Ensa: Any luck? Did it read that? Well, the Gylia Meteors are indeed strange… But I have a feeling we got the wrong one… Try reading the one in front of Troms instead.

Stage 7: Go to the statue at [-722, -920]
You begin to read the tip of the spear… It’s just unreadable runes…

Stage 8: Go back to Ensa
Ensa: How about that tip? Nothing? It was just runes? Hm, hold on a second… That is written in an ancient script known as the Gyliac script. I can cast a spell on the runes to show what they read.
Ensa: Here we are, the tip of the spear. Let me decode… *By the blood of Wynn,* /By the light of Gavel,/ /Show us/ *your words!*
Ensa: … It is done. It reads “I have escaped to a treehouse to save what little I have left of my sanity… The coordinates are here as I have noticed I am in a trance lik- MUSHROOMS- gah… state… It is -61MUSHROOMS3, 9MUSHROOMS4, -6MUSHROOMS63… Please, help me save mysMUSHROOMS''
Ensa: Well… This is a bit weird. They seem to be obsessed with the fungi, but I think I can convince him.

Stage 9: Go to the Treehouse at [-613, 94, -663]

???: Just a little more mushrooms there… A little more there… GAH! Wh- wh- what are y-you doing in m- my house?!
Ensa: Are you the person who wrote the Gyliac on the tip of the spear?
???: Wh- wh- what are y- you talking about? Oh! Hu- human! Y- you helped me get mu- mushrooms!
    Yahya: I n- n- need a sp- spoon. I- I left mine at my other h- house…
Ensa: Um… These were the coordinates written at the spear in Gyliac, has the person who wrote those passed on?
    Yahya: U- uh… N- no… I- I don’t th- think so. G- g- get me a mu- mush- mushroom and th- that might j- jog m- my memory… Hehe… Shroom.
Ensa: Well, I do have an Oluxic Black Cap, that might work…
Yahya: Oh! Th- thank you, other human!
Yahya: Oh yes… The shroom… The shroo- GAH! I’ve temporarily escaped the Gylian Meteor magic…
Ensa: Wait a second, are you Yahya the scientist?
Yahya: Indeed I am. The Oluxic Black Cap has worked, but temporarily. I know exactly why you are here. To kill that thing.
Yahya: The Portal was an ancient artifact left by a forgotten race of Wynn. A leader of a crew mining for emeralds dug up the portal, causing the Corruption… I can get you the scroll, just wait a bit…
Ensa: … Who knew one person who knew of our beyonds would be crippled by a rock from space? He clearly knows more than what we currently know…
You wait a few minutes around the treehouse...
Yahya: I’m back… I can feel the Black Cap’s effects wearing off already… Here’s the scroll… Now go! I wish you all luck on your quest- Guh! Wh- wh- what happened? D- d- did I get my spoon now?
Ensa: Now we should make our way back to the Temple of the Legends… Hopefully Ragnar and everyone else finished their trip to Mage Island…
Ensa: You’ll go alone? Ok then, guess I’ll also look for clues.

Stage 5: Look for clues around Troms
The statue reads “I haven’t dealt with an issue as bad as this. The Gylia Meteors has made my mind worse as it is. It was very bad to research the foreign objects as it was wrong. I wrote this up there to show the whole city my tip. Be warned, for we are not the only ones on this plane of existence...
Those engravings seem to be very strange. But now you know it is the wrong tip.

Stage 6: Continue looking for clues
You begin to read the tip of the spear… It’s just unreadable runes… Ensa probably knows a spell to decode it.

Ensa: Ah, you're back? Oh, you need me to decode something? I can try to.

Stage 7: Go to the treehouse at [-613, 94, -663]
???: Just a little more mushrooms there… A little more there… GAH!
Ensa: Well, I do have an Oluxic Black Cap, that might work…
Yahya: Oh! Th- thank you other human!
You wait a little longer than usual…
Something’s not right… Yahya should be back by now… You should go check on him…

Stage 8: Go to the room Yahya went in
Yahya: Impossible… The scroll! It’s gone!
Ensa: Did you try looking around elsewhere?
Yahya: No… It’s gone! It was put in this very treehouse by Dwendle, I SWEAR!
    Ensa: What about other chests?
Yahya: They’re just filled with mushrooms! Idiotic, useless, MUSHROOMS! I- I need mushrooms! Wh- wh- what was I doing here? I- I- I- need to get back to my mushrooms!
Ensa: … This isn’t good… We should head back to the Temple of the Legends! Our thief will probably be there, waiting to break the seal!
Ragnar: So you want to get the light dust? Alright then! O’juib, go with Ensa to get the key to the seal.
Ragnar: Ah, the saline breeze of the ocean, refreshing, isn’t it Sakimer?
    Sakimer: …
Ragnar: Silent as always, eh? What about you {Player Name}? It’s nice, right? Anyways! Back to the mission at hand, there is a resident of Mage Island who knows of the dust more than anyone, we just have to complete some parkour.
Ragnar: I’ll wait for you at the top!

Stage 4: Complete the parkour to get to the Mage's House
Ragnar: Rashyroth! Been a long time!
Rashyroth: Hey Ragnar! How’s Wynn these days?
Ragnar: Oh, you know, the same thing. Corrupted siege here, corrupted siege there, pretty usual. Anyways! I’m pretty sure you know why I’m here.
Rashyroth: Yes, I know exactly. The dust? It is located in a cave below this floating island. It was sealed away by the mages of old to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. It was originally used to defend the city of Troms against the Corrupter of Worlds.
Rashyroth: The Corrupter of Worlds was originally a miner-for-hire born in Ternaves. He later became skilled enough to lead an emerald mining expedition in what is now the Roots of Corruption. He later saw the strangeness and bizarreness of the Portal, and then, after he entered it, he lost everything.
Rashyroth: His sanity and conscience was gone, he later killed his whole mining crew, and slaughtered thousands of Wynn. He’s lead countless sieges against the cities of Wynn. He went so berserk even Bak’al, leader of the corrupted, couldn’t tell him what to do. He was later sealed by Dwendle, a Twain.
Rashyroth: He has remained in his cave since. He cannot get out of it, nor can he escape it. Anyone who enters his cave, however, has never returned.
Ragnar: Thank you for that Rashyroth. {Player Name}, now you know the story of the Corrupter, and why he must be killed.
Ragnar: We now must head towards the cave. I will wait for you at the bottom.

Stage 5: Go to the bottom of Rashyroth's House

Ragnar: Strange, there’s nothing here that is an entrance to the cave.
Ragnar: There must be something that can open up the way to the cave.

Stage 6: Look for a way to open the cave

(There will be a shard in the Sky Vapor cave, and you must right click it to activate the next part of the dialogue.)
Ragnar: Ah! {Player Name}! You found it! You seem to be a much better person than Kelight!
Ragnar: I think you need to cast a spell to open it.
Ragnar: And there it is. The first chamber. There appear to be 3 corridors, and I think I can read it, although my Wynnic’s a bit rusty…
Ragnar: I think the one on the left says “Cooperation”, the one in the middle says “Knowledge”, and the one on the right says “Strength”. I think we each need to go into a corridor, but Ensa is not here. I think Rashyroth might be able to help us, {Player Name}, can you check?

Stage 7: Go back to Rashyroth
Rashyroth: Back again, eh? Sorry about the climb, it can be a bit annoying. I know why you are here again, you want me to help you. I trust Ragnar, and if he trusts you, I will as well.
Rashyroth: Here, I can save you the journey down, go into the portal.
Ragnar: Alright, I can do the strength challenge.
Rashyroth: I am fairly intelligent, so I will do the knowledge challenge.
    Sakimer: …
Ragnar: {Player Name}, right-click Sakimer to do the Cooperation challenge, right-click me to do the strength challenge, or right-click Rashyroth to do the knowledge challenge.

    Stage 8: Choose a Challenge
    Sakimer: …
Sakimer: You know, I don’t like to talk much…
Sakimer: How else can I be the quiet Assassin?
Sakimer: My sense is telling me that we need to solve puzzles to get through this.
Sakimer: I will tell you the way to go, you remember it, we both step on the plates, then we are done…
Sakimer: Do not make me speak more than once…

    Stage 9: Do the Challenge
(You need to go on the exact path Sakimer told you, stepping on the wrong plate will reset the room, and the room sizes vary from 5*5, 5*7, and 8*8)

Sakimer nods at you as both of you are warped back.
Ragnar: Ok then, I will do the cooperation challenge with Sakimer instead.

    Stage 9: Do the Challenge
(The Strength challenge involves you surviving and battling waves of different mobs, the first wave is a simple challenge against level 45 Magical Energies, the second wave involves you battling level 60 Concentrated Magical Energies, and the third wave is a boss fight against the level 75 Singularity of Magical Energy)
Rashyroth: Ok then, I will do the cooperation challenge with Sakimer instead.

    Stage 9: Do the Challenge
(The Knowledge Challenge has you solving Trivia related to the lore of Wynncraft, much like the Water puzzle in Order of the Grook, with you answering 9 questions correctly, after 3 questions, you will be timed on your answers, and after 6 questions, you will get knocked around by Magical Energies with high knockback)
Ragnar: I’m back from the strength/cooperation challenge.
Rashyroth: I have completed the knowledge/cooperation challenge.
Sakimer nods at both of them indicating they have completed the challenge.
Ragnar: Alright! Thank you Rashyroth for helping us with our mission!
    Rashyroth: My pleasure Ragnar.
Ragnar: Alright then, it’s time we get the Light Dust and get out of here!

Stage 10: Get the Light Dust
Ragnar: Alright, we got it! We should head back to the Temple of the Legends. I can warp us all there. Hopefully, Ensa and O’juib have obtained the scroll.
Kelight: Hah! I knew you had a brain in that inferior noggin of yours!
Kelight: Look, while you have to play by my rules here, you seem to be barely skilled enough to be a person who does not need my help.
Kelight: Look, all of those buffoons can’t tell their left hands from their right, and I am certain you had made the right decision.
Kelight: Now, we need to go to get 2 ancient things, an ancient bag of dust on Mage Island, and the key to the magical seal.
Kelight: Now, while you seem to be skilled enough to go alone, I have a feeling you should come with me to get the key to the seal.
Kelight: I will finally become the legend of legends…
Kelight: Huh? Oh, well make your option!

Kelight: What are you, a weakling?
Kelight: Alright, fine, come with me, I am certain I know of the location.
Kelight: It appears to be in a treehouse above a slime path.
Kelight: How’d I know? Well, I’m just that smart.
Kelight: Now come on! Follow me and let’s get that key to the seal!

    Stage 4: Follow Kelight
Kelight: Well, here we are, the place where the seal is.

???: Just a little bit more shrooms here and more shrooms there and now…
Yahya: Gah! Wh- what are you d- doing here?!
    Kelight: Perish foul beast!
Yahya: Ahh! G- go away! Leave me and my mu- mush- mushrooms alone!
Yahya: Y- you!! If you want my mu- mushrooms then you’re going to have to take it from my d- dead body!
    Kelight: …
    Kelight: What was that?
Kelight: Must be that lunatic Yahya.
Kelight: What was he doing here? Anyways!
Kelight: Here it is, the key to break the seal.
Kelight: Hmmm… It says the symbols on the left are used to make the seal, and the words on the right are the words that break the seal…
Kelight: Now that we have the key to break it, we need to travel to Mage Island. I can warp you there if you need to, but I think I can do it all for you, little baby weakling.
Kelight: There is a corridor there from what I’ve heard, let’s go back to the entrance of Troms then, a much safer place to warp.

Stage 5: Go back to the Temple of the Legends
Kelight: As you cowardly requested, we are here in Troms.
Kelight: What? You said it was dangerous, did you not?
Kelight: Whatever, here, go to the dumb island and get the dust, be quick, I don’t have all day!

Stage 6: Go into the warp to Mage Island

Stage 7: Find someone on Mage Island who knows about the Light Dust
Rashyroth: Ah, hello there kind traveller! Welcome to our island!
Rashyroth: Oh, you want the dust… I’m afraid a party of adventurers already got it, but there might be some left. Go down there and check.

Stage 8: Go into the cave below Rashyroth's House

It seems like Ragnar and his crew already went down here, their warp is still there, but is slowly fading…
Rashyroth: Ah, nice try, was it? Ragnar already warned me of Kelight, and I’m certain you are working with him. Kelights intentions are for glory only, and could care less about helping the people. I’m afraid I can’t let out of here. You could have been a soldier for the good of the province, are you convinced to not trust Kelight anymore?
Rashyroth: Good lad, on your way now! Ah-ah-ah! Hold up! I know your intentions are pure to kill it, but you most likely want the glory do you? You won't be a memorable soldier if you only want the glory. Greed will strengthen a bizarre force, the name of which has been lost to time...
Rashyroth: So you still trust him? For the glory instead of what’s right? I’m afraid I cannot allow that, for it would only shorten what life is left on this plane...

    Stage 9: Battle Rashyroth
(You will have a boss fight with Rashyroth, Mage of the Ocean, who has Thunder Weakness and Water and Air Damage and Defense. He has 50,000 HP, and has Heal, Teleport, Meteor, Slowness, and Push abilities, and is ranged, when you reduce him down to 25,000 HP, you can progress)

Rashyroth: Stop it, Stop it! I yield. You must heed my words though, Wynnic, you must fight for the good of this world, rather than just the glory and honor.

Stage 10: Go back to the Temple of the Legends
Kelight: Huh? You seriously think you can survive on Mage Island?! Bahahah!
Kelight: Hah! Haha… Oh you’re hilarious. Alright, sure, I’ll make a temporary warp to there to save you time, and to show Ragnar what power he has discarded…
Kelight: What? Huh? Oh, you’re still here. Do your job idiot!

Stage 4: Go to Mage Island

Stage 5: Find someone on Mage Island who knows about the dust

Rashyroth: Hello there, good man. What do you want?
Rashyroth: Excuse me? The dust to be safe from the cave? Oh. That thing…
Rashyroth: Another person has already went down there, 2 mages on the island are helping them.
Rashyroth: Well, you do look equipped enough. You might be able to make it in time.

Stage 6: Go to the cave below Rashyroth's House

They appear to have escaped the cave and headed back to the Temple of the Legends. However, their warp appears to still be there. Might as well head into it.
    Ragnar: Ensa! {Player Name}!
Ensa: You got the Light Dust?
Ragnar: Yep, pretty sure you have the key to break the seal?
Ensa: Yes. We should be on our way then to kill the foul beast, I will break the seal preventing entry to humans. This is for the good of the province-
???: Well, well, well, come to disregard my offering to you?
Ragnar: Who is- Oh, Kelight, listen, you violated the rule we had set in position. You just wanted the glory, didn’t you?
Kelight: Lookie here who’s talking, bub! You said Wynn soldiers should fight for what’s right, protecting their families, and the glory!!!
    Ragnar: Kelight…
Kelight: You know what? I think I can just kill you and {Player Name} to get the things I need!
Ensa: This is bad… Now we don’t know where the scroll is!
Ragnar: Ah! Ensa, I assume there was no issue with the scroll, was there?
Ensa: There was, we can’t find it! The only person in this entire damn jungle who knew where it was lost it!!!
Ragnar: Calm down Ensa, I’m sure the thief of it is still in here.
???: You are absolutely correct. Bravo to the so-called hero of Wynn!
Ragnar: Ah, Kelight… Here for the glory now, are you?
Kelight: This is quite interesting… I have the key to break the seal while you have the dust to prevent being corrupted! If you want the key, you’ll have to pry it from my cold, dead hands! And I assume it’s the same for you too…
    Ragnar: Ensa! O'juib!
(If you sided with Ragnar, you will fight against Kelight, Fallen Legend. Kelight has the Charge and Pull abilities, along with 150,000 HP, but you have Ragnar, Ensa, Sakimer, and O’juib helping you, so losing this fight isn’t likely. Kelight also has Rainbow Damage, a weakness to Water, and defense against Air and Fire)
Kelight: Well, did you get the dust?
Kelight: No?! What are you, a useless sack of meat with metal on you?
Kelight: Although I am pretty sure exactly where the Light Dust is, and more notably, who…
???: This is for the good of the province-
Kelight: Well, isn’t this just peachy? Ragnar, I’m pretty sure you have something I need.
Ragnar: The dust? Kelight, you were kicked from the team.
Kelight: I guess I’ll have to fight you for it!
Ragnar: Oh please, you alone? Good luck.
    Kelight: Oh, I don’t think so, I’ve brought, a warrior of Wynn…
Kelight: Well, did you get the dust?
Kelight: No?! What are you, a useless sack of meat with metal on you?
Kelight: Sigh, well, lucky for you, someone of Ragnar’s crew got the seal, so I guess we’re both on the same level.
Kelight: Don’t worry! I know exactly where to go!
(If you sided with Kelight, you will fight against Ragnar, Protector of Wynn. Ragnar has 100,000 HP and Rainbow Damage and Defense, as well as having Push, Pull, and Charge abilities. You will also have to fight against Ensa, who has Thunder Weakness, Water Damage, and is basically Rashyroth V2 without Air Damage and Defense, Sakimer, who has a weakness to Earth, Damage and Defense in Thunder, melee, has Vanish and Multihit, and has 50,000 HP. O’juib has a weakness to Air, damage and defense in Earth, has the Pull and Heal abilities, and has 50,000 HP, you will have Kelight with you for the whole fight.)
Ragnar: Alright, now that that nuisance is finished, we should get on to preparing. Ensa, you have the key to the seal, right?
Ensa: Absolutely. First, dust all of us with the Light Dust, and then we will break the seal.
Ragnar dusts you with the Light Dust
Ensa: Alright, here it goes. *Niiuthtol, Azek!*
Ensa: … It is broken, let’s go kill the Corrupter of Worlds!
O’juib: It feels as though my mind is being consumed by demons… I have a feeling I wasn’t ready to enter this place…
Ragnar: Don’t worry, the Light Dust is there to ward off the Corruptive effects of the cave.
Sakimer looks worried at what the Corrupter of Worlds is doing
    Sakimer: …
    Sakimer: RUN!
(The Corrupter of Worlds fight is going to be exactly the same as it was before, except you have Ragnar, Ensa, Sakimer, and O’juib to help you.)
Kelight: Now then, let my masterful knowledge of Ancient Wynnic shine!
    Kelight: Uhhh… *Nii… Uth… Tol… Az… Ek*?
Kelight: Oh wait! We to dust ourselves with the Light Dust! Uhhh… Here, I put half the pouch on me! Now put half the pouch on you!
    Kelight: Let’s go!
Kelight: Uhh… Th- this is ok! It’s ok! It’s not like there are demons consuming my mind, right? That’s probably what the Light Dust is for!
Kelight: Aw, what are you doing now? Jumping in the air to- WOAH!
    Kelight: Uh oh…
Kelight: Well, now we have survived that… Hopefully that is it- OH COME ON!
(The Corrupter of Worlds fight will be harder. The CoW will have 250,000 HP instead of 100,000, only Kelight will help you, deals 1% of your Max HP as damage per hit, and it will gain a new ability, Mind Spike, which is from WynnCon. Mind Spike deals damage to you depending on how much mana you have left. The less Mana you have, the more damage it deals, which severely punishes spell spammers.)
Ragnar: I’m… Genuinely surprised we did that! No one has returned from the Corrupter, and we were the ones to defeat it!
Ragnar: Thank you dearly for your help, {Player Name}. You’ve done this province an unspeakable service.
Ragnar: I hereby knight you as a Legend, so now you will have access to the Temple of the Legends. And here, take this helmet, to truly show your status as a Legend. Once again, thank you for your help, I hope our paths cross again, {Player Name}.
Kelight: We… We did it! I- I know I sound much different than earlier, but that’s because we actually did it! I’m so proud of ourselves!
Kelight: But I am still in charge here, ok? We’re now both the strongest soldiers of Wynn, and nobody knows what happened to Ragnar!
Kelight: We’re both now Legends! I’ll take control of the Temple of the Legends from here on out, you go do your stuff. Oh, there was also a helmet that was in the cave, I think it goes on you.

Here's also some things I'd like to point out about my version of TotL:
    • I gave Kelight an unlikable personality on purpose, to make newer players choose an easier option on their level, and because I think the "main" character of the old TotL needed some light to shine.
    • You still go to Mage Island, but it's to get the dust, and you won't need to go to Ragni, then Detlas, then Nemract, instead with it just being a quick warp to there.
    • Garull will be a side character in Creeper Infiltration, and Jorkin will be... Jorkin.
    • The Helmet you get at the end will be the Helmet of the Legends, a Legendary Helmet with the same stats as the Purified Helmet of the Legends, and having 25 defense in each element, as well as giving +3 in all stats. Besides replaying the quest to get the different branches, it would also give a reason to do so as it would grant a good bonus to all the stats to a player around Lv 68-78.
    • I included some extra lore with Yahya in there just cause. And also a fun fact about the treehouse the coordinates mention in a branch, you can go there and encounter a hostile mob called Yahya's Apprentice, so I thought it would be nice for Yahya to have a second home, an abandoned treehouse!
I feel the dialogue might be a bit poor, but I am overall content with the structure of my idea of it. I will always accept constructive criticism, and the doc might be a bit hard to read, but I didn't really have a lot of other options.
Edit, the words like *this* are in Wynnic, while words in /this/ are High Gavellian.
Edit 2, Made the formatting more friendly to navigate.
Edit 3, Changed any mentions of Dern and other Dernic creatures to either be known as a land of bizarreness far away, to not directly reveal the name and nature of Dern.

OH lord. 1. I applaud and give you my utmost respect for making such an in-depth post. I quite like the idea of two different CoW fights AND how the quest is actually layed out. You did an amazing job writing this. +1 from me. I hope others can see this and agree with me here when I say that this is 10x better than the Country club fetch quest that ToL is. Good Job :D

Dang. This is really in depth and well thought out. I haven't read it all the way through yet, but from what I've read it sounds amazing.
Also we finally get Ragnar in the game! The only mention of him AFAIK is one random NPC in Detlas

    +1

One thing: I personally dislike quests where the start isn't coords in the quest book. Also, I hate that someone could accidentally trigger the quest by walking (as it seems).

I might put a Troms Citizen by the bank of Troms to then trigger the audience, and I was a bit too lazy to put coords in there, thanks for the Constructive Feedback!
If it would be stage by stage, that could work, but because it's a Choose-your-own-adventure, it might be hard to.

Still you can separate it by the adventure you choose. Or just paste it as normal text.

Okay here are all of my ideas for improvement: (spoilers if anyone hasn't done all the quests yet)
    1. There is already a character with the subtitle "unseen blade" in the Dwarves and Doguns Library of Flames entrance (Ockar of the Unseen Blade), so maybe think about changing that.
    2. Minor dialogue changes that are so small and numerous it is not worth pointing them out individually. The writing in this is really well done but I think there are a few awkward lines that would be changed if this was ever added.
    3. I think flat-out killing Rashyroth is too much since the player is supposed to be the good guy, even if you take the bad path. Once he is close to dying it should start a cutscene where you let him live.
    4. Dern being mentioned this early is kind of a big nono in my opinion. I know it is mentioned in Order of the Grook but that is in a secret likely only experienced players will find, and even if someone on their first playthrough stumbles across it they will probably have no clue what is happening. And the whole thing with light and dark forming corruption is supposed to be a big reveal in WynnExcavation D, so telling the player that now kind of ruins that.
    5. Any mention of The Eye should be removed. I am aware someone talks about the eye watching over them in WynnExcavation C but there it sounds more like a figure of speech or maybe a religious prayer, but either way it isn't really defined, and so most new players will not really notice it. This just seems unneeded, honestly.

Alright, so if you read that and think I dislike this quest idea, you are far from correct. I think this is one of the best suggestions I have ever seen on the forums, and although it is not perfect, this quest would be an amazing improvement over the mess we have currently!

alright, this is probably the best quest idea i've read, great job! I can very much see this being in the actual game, and being a great mark of progress for new players!
    ________________________________
i don't think it should be shortened as it may get rid of the nature of the quest, however someone you could right click on to speed up the text would be better.

Seems good, except there are just too much options for me (which is not necessarily bad) and there are a lot of spoilers which should not be there.

It was my idea to make Dwendle the Twain who would protect the Jungle, because in my opinion that might work, and I kind of feel like I should modify the dialogue to not include huge lore stuff.
    My replies:
    1. Yeah, I think it could use a renamer like the Silent Killer.
    2. Like I did say, I feel the dialogue is a bit poor imo, but I couldn't really find any better alternatives.
    3. Now that you mention it, I feel like Rashyroth should just warn you about what you are doing.
    4. Now that I think of it, mentioning Dern too early kind of ruins WynnExcavation Site D, so I'll probably change it to a land of bizarreness and nothing far away instead of just saying Dern
    5. I will probably also change the eye to the nickname, a Silent Gazer, I think that will be just a subtle hint to The Eye.

And thanks for leaving the constructive feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed this quest idea!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the stuff the crowd says will be as fast as the Obsessor was speaking in A Journey Beyond, and there will be a cutscene showing the initial conflict between Ragnar and Kelight.

I meant stuff like in Dern like The Eye and the line in WynnExcavation Site D where it says that when light and Dern touch, twilight is not formed, but corruption is instead.

The piece of dialogue you referenced is deleted content, so the lore surrounding it might not be true, so what happened to Dwendle is probably up in the air.

Kind of a bump but I also want a new Talking Mushroom dialogue for the treehouse where sane Yahya is:

Talking Mushroom: OH, THIS PLACE... IT'S ACTUALLY QUITE NICE...
Talking Mushroom: OH BOY, THERE'S EVEN GOOD READS HERE TOO! ABOUT A REALM OF... BALANCE? AND SOMETHING ABOUT METEORS? WHO DOES THIS BELONG TO-
(Yahya will then go up to the treehouse)
Yahya: O- oh b- boy! A new mushroom!
Talking Mushroom: OH GROOK NO! NOT HIM AGAIN! GET US OUT OF HERE YOU DUMB PACK RAT! GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGO!!!!
Yahya: W- wait! Come back M- mushroom!

Yeah no. The Game is dependent on you the player and what YOU want to be. You can totally play the games as a villan. IE in the wealth or knowledge quests, A journey further/beyond. (sorry 4 spoilers)You kill the god of the Doguns and countless dwarves AND doguns. also the other countless times the player commits murder etc Also remember that you can complete the game w/o helping any1(not doing quests) so you could even play as neutral. So yeah that statement is false. sorry bro
    ________________________________
Also wrong. In the current Quests 4 Wynnic Ex u can get info that Dern and olm exist inside the Ancient civilization. And TBH you learn abt dean thru hints from wynnic plains discoveries. So again, yeah no Dern being mentioned here is ok, It also lets the player know that there is a secret endgame area they should try to find(keeps players engaged for endgame content)
Whoopsies didnt see the Opinion part lmaooooooo. So the above is my opinion abt your opinion kek, sorry for being mean
