Hello again, I was thinking about this while i was vibin in Cinfras and figured it would be a good idea.
Anyways this is an update idea. With 1.20 coming out soon i know the CT team will have to start thinking about the next update. An idea for this update is the Wynnic Life update

Coverage of what will go on:
    passive NPC dialogue
    RPG-like life
    Town life
    "Invasions"
    QoL

And im going to jump right into what each one does and how it can be implemented. Here we go

    Passive NPC dialogue:

Much like the random NPC near the cinfras country farms, NPCs will have random dialogue that you can talk to durring your adventure. Most importantly you can choose what you want to say in these small chats
    An example:
*you walk up to a gardener*
Gardener - "Oh! Hello there, I didn't see ya! I've been weeding these rosebushes."
You - Choices - "They look very nice!" or "..."
If you pick choice 1 they respond with, "Thank you! My grandfather was the royal gardener in Ragni, he taught me everything I know."
If you pick choice 2 they respond with, "Yeah...The plants don't talk much either..."

The reasoning for this is to add more depth to the NPC system in the game. Currently in my opinion the game is very Quest and Dungeon based, with little to no small town interactions. By implementing small dialogue the player can feel a stronger emersion in cities and towns. These small interactions can even lead to "micro quests" that the player can do. For instance an NPC may ask you to buy them bread, in return they will give you some emeralds. These quests are very short and easy to complete, however they help the player feel like the NPCs are actual villagers and not filler mobs.

At the bank, the bankers can ask you "How can I help you today?" or "Hello! What would you like to buy?"
An armor smith could give random dialogue like, "I just got a batch of fresh chest plates in today from Thanos, care to buy one?"

    RPG-Like Life

In many RPGs, the player can eat and drink food. In Wynn however they only thing you can "drink for fun" is nemract whisky. Throughout the game, there are many food merchants that sell "food" however the player cannot eat them, and so they are pointless. There is crafted food ingame, however these work more like stat boosters than actual food. Food venders could still sell some stat boosting foods, but they would be weaker or equal to player made ones. Picture this:
Your inside a little restaurant in Cinfras. Your friend is there and you both have some Cinfras Ale and a sandwich. You talk to your friend about current events while enjoying your meal.
This would make shops and restaurants more engaging inside the game. Now, these foods wont give you any performance boosts or anything like that, however they do help make the game feel more realistic.

Other RPG like features could be the inclusion of small random events that you can partake on. An example could be:
*You stumble upon a group of adventures*
Adventurer 1 - "Oh hey there! you startled us, we though you were a zombie."
Adventurer 2 - "You wanna sit and talk with us while we camp for the night?"

You can chose yes or no
If you chose no you just leave, if you chose yes they tell you small bits of lore about the area, mobs, and culture. They can also tell you stories of what they did on their adventures, much like the sea sail captain.

Another example is where the player finds random NPCs that move around through out the world.
ex: *you are walking through light forest, you see an adventurer in the distance being attacked by rotting luxroots*
You can choose to go help them or to ignore them.
If you go help them, you get a small combat event where the fellow adventurer helps you fight off the luxroots. For helping them they can give you a small reward or some emeralds, your something else.

    Town Life

Town life is a much more diverse thing than just, "town life" However my idea for this is professions and markets being used by NPCs. For instance: There may be an NPC making a wand at the local woodworking station. Another NPC can be selling an item at the market. These small visuals make the town feel more alive and in use than just randoms wandering around the town.

    Invasions

So this was a previous feature, however it no longer is in use. I suggest we bring it back.
The original feature was a random event of mobs invaiding a town. It was up to the local military and adventurers to defend the town and its citizens. This could give players a small group activity while they are in the towns. If they successfully repel the invasion they can be rewarded with money, xp, or discounts on the local shop items. Like 15% off armor and potions. These events you have mobs from the surrounding area show up in waves, with 3-5 waves then a boss battle. The boss could be a stronger version of a local mob, or it could be a boss the player interacts with in the game through quests. An example is:
"The undead are sieging Detlas! Everyone get ready for a fight!"
-A "wave one" text appears in chat telling the player the first wave is starting-
-Guard golems and soldiers appear around the town-
-Hoards of zombies and skeletons spawn in and around the town.-
-After a couple waves, a mutant zombie appears as the boss-
"Look! that must be the undead that's controlling the others! If we take it down we can beat them back!"
    -Boss fight-
"We did it! Thank you adventurers for protecting the town!"
-A small reward or discount is applied-

    QoL

Some minor QoL changes would be:
AFK player removal, as it would become quite apparent that AFKing in a town isn't safe. It never has been and shouldn't be. Since the AFK players will log off so they don't die, world slots for players who do wanna play on that world are opened up, allowing for more player slots.

Teaching newer players how some things work. NPCs could tell you how they made their items at prof workstations, so the newbies who skipped the intro, or forgot how it works can be re-taught the system, NPCs could also teach them how the market works, how foods and stat boosting itmes work, and other various things.

Giving a new pricing and "money sink" for the economy. During an invasion, a discount can be applied. This means it entices players to buy local commodities which will help with inflation and money ingame.

Other ways to get stat boosting foods and other items without directly crafting them or buying them from the market. Since food venders would sell mediocre stat foods, potions, scrolls e.t.c that would help with the economy, and let players get stat boosting items without buying or making them from other players. This also adds a trade feel to the game.

    Suggestions?
If you have any ideas on how this can be made better or any changes that should be made, please tell me.

Ice Bear says the player should also be able to sleep at inns if restaurants are being added. Ice Bear could imagine how the higher level you are and the more recognized you become the friendlier the dialogue the inn keepers will have.
Edit: Ice Bear says maybe some houses out in the world can have npcs that can invite you to stay the night or shoo you away.

This section kind of has a flaw. The player never talks, and never is supposed to talk. At the very least, your dialogue is never displayed to you, since there are times when you are said to explain something to someone. That might be an issue for this idea

I'm going to be honest, I don't really see any reason to eat food in a game, unless it gives bonuses or does something fun, like nemract whiskey. However, I don't really like the idea of drinking being a huge part of wynncraft. Really the only time it's actually entertaining is when you drink during a boss battle as a challenge

    i do like the suggestion!

and for people who are saying that you dont talk, i think the character does talk as you do relay some information in some quests, or the character is just like link where you are really good at hand gestures.

I like it. The player - us - may not talk much but that shouldn't be a limiter imo. Invasions could be a problem though, as they (swarms) were removed due to lag issues so I doubt they would be added back.

Throwing in my two cents, I would also like the cities to be, well, more like cities. Right now, at least to me, I just hop into the towns to use the merchants and stuff, because, honestly, there's no reason to explore more. Giving more reasons to do so would be great. Hope at least some of these get added as this part of Wynn is kind of stale.

"14. Keep the player silent during quests, only the NPCs can talk."

That's probably where people are getting this idea from.

Aight so it seems like ppl dislike the talking part and i can understand why. So id say instead of talking to the NPCs they just give random dialogue when u talk to them. With the invasions. it may of been laggy then, due to minecraft being an early game, however i think they can be redone well. Id say the invasions are like guild war fights.
    ________________________________
I don't see how this can cause lag? its the same as the villager/humans that roam around wynn towns rn. Except they have a random chance to use the profs. there wouldn't be lag bc they don't cause any kek

not really a custom animation, there does not need to be one. It just needs text and an NPC to explain what they did and how they did it. the player can do it themselves from there

Apart from removing the talking back by the player (obviously), this is a pretty good idea and I would like it as a small implementation sometime.
I don't think that it warrants its own update, however.
