This happened to me extremely recently. I put some sought after ore in the trade slot, then go through the cumbersome process of hovering over the book to see the highest buyer, then estimate how much the tax will add on. This is because the set price doesn't include tax.
For example, if the highest buyer is currently buying sought after ores for 650 emeralds each and you sell them for 650 emeralds each, they are not instantly bought because the marketplace tacks on around 20 emeralds of tax. However, when I set the price to 619, the price+tax is 649, but when I set the price to 620, the price+tax is 651, meaning it's physically impossible for me to hit 650.
When this happens it's extremely infuriating, and even when it doesn't it's still unnecessarily annoying. There's no reason for this to happen unless there's some sort of coding problem I'm missing, and wouldn't take long to fix.

Yeah I agree, it makes sense to include tax for convenience. It's usually not too bad to do in your head but with selling mythics and whatnot I imagine with large numbers it would be better to have tax added automatically so you didn't lose money you thought you would receive

definite +1, especially because i don't imagine it would be a major dev time investment, even with wynn spaghetti code. don't trust me on that though.

If you would include the tax many new players would wonder why they dont get all the money.
I never had a problem with the tm tax (exept that it exists) and when I sell something I type a "full number" like 900.000 and if that is too much wih the tax I try with 850.000 and then go a bit up or down and then I have the price I want.

ofc it is annoying if you have cheap items you want to sell for a very specipic price but I honestly dont think its that much of a problem.

Also who cares if you sell an item for 649 or 650 emeralds? It makes no difference in my opinion :/

The buyer price includes tax while the seller price doesn't, meaning you have to calculate it in order to hit the listed buyer price on trade market if you want to sell anything instantly.

yes I know and it makes sense to me to keep it that way tbh... I mean with the current system I can see what I am charging and what the tax is and change the price if I want.

I dont "calculate" the price. If I feel like the price is too high I go a little lower, if I feel its too low I go a little higher. Its as simple as that.

I dont understand the problem tbh cuz as I said I never had a problem :/

Why not just remove the tax, where is the no representation, there should be no tax! Riot! Riot!

Seriously though would be awesome. Math really hurts at times, I just want to sell my trash

This would be very useful as I often try and get very particular numbers for *cough* no reason *cough*.
