Yes I ripped this of from Terraria
So basically when you kill a mob, it adds it's info to the bestiary, and the more times u kill a mob, the more info is given. This can be used to give more lore about certain areas or just explain why said mob exists. This can also just be some kind of collection thing for endgame players to do.

Oh and the amount of mobs you need to kill in order to get all info on it depends on how common/rare it is. And for bosses and quest mobs you only need to kill them once.

 

Good idea but would take far too much time to do it for every mob. I would like something like this for the more "important" mobs though, like how there's a boss tab in Enter the Gungeon that gives some lore

 

this would be VERY hard to make but would be cool. Maybe what they could do is make it a website and not ingame. And not do it with EVERY single enemy but instead just bosses, Dungeon enemies, Raid enemies, and Elite enemies

 

It'd be a cool addition for the mobs with stars before their names (the rare ones). The bestiary could say where it spawns, the drops and their drop chance.

 

1: I feel bad for whoever has to right this. (if it were implemented)
2: Why? You can only kill certain bosses once first of all, and second of all you can just read the wiki

 

Just because a third party can offer a service doesn’t mean that the devs shouldn’t. Personally I like the idea so long as it’s limited to bosses and rare mobs.

really? this isn't about discoveries, we are talking about a new way to get lore.
you could kill a boss and that will unlock some lore, people who love the lore would be very happy to see more lore
