I was recently walking around Rymek seeing as I hadn't been to the city in a while and was wondering if anything had changed. While I was there, I noticed some particle effects at a nearby stall, and I walked over there to interact with them.

What followed next was a shopkeeper introducing me to his wares before a thief stole a necklace, and I was led to the Rymek Thief discovery-- it was an extremely passive thing that I just stumbled across while exploring the town, so I figured-- why not add more encounters like this one?

What I propose are encounters. They are similar to secret discoveries in a way, but not as difficult to find-- they should be something, like Rymek Thief, that you discover while passively exploring a location. These encounters would be really short cutscene 'mini-stories' that players would be able to interact with in a given location.

What this would bring to the table is space to delve deeper into the lore of Wynncraft, or even just the lore of the location that the encounter is in. Personally, I find this type of content extremely engaging, and learning more about the lore of fantasy worlds is something that I enjoy. Encounters could be tracked in your quest book just like discoveries, and in another similarity to discoveries, the exact locations of the encounters would not be stated.

Perhaps this could even give some more life to smaller towns or locations that are typically forgotten about, such as small villages that have no quest givers or merchants in them and are there to simply populate the world-- just put an encounter there, and there's suddenly more of a reason for players to explore these usually desolate locations.

I can tell you that there is a similar discovery in the Upper Molten Heights in 1.20
We haven't found all of the secret discoveries in 1.20 yet so there might even be more!
