Add Banks To Small Towns

Recently have noticed an issue that could be fixed relatively easily and it mostly occurs in wynn but still happens in other places. I noticed it when farming in the light forest and needing to clear out my inventory I would need to travel to Gelibord or Cinfras to empty out my inventory. Which interrupts my grinding (usually profs) and I wondered what it would be like if there was a bank in Efilim or Aldorei and how much more convenient it would be. i have added a poll to vote on whether a town needs a bank or not.

 

Aldorei shouldn't be able to have a bank, because Elves, which inhabit Aldorei, have a natural hatred of anything that makes others greedy, specifically, money, which would make a bank in Aldorei conflict with the lore. I'd definitely agree with a bank in Maltic, Maex, Relos and Bucie, though.

 

Oh yeah i was just looking through the aldorei's secret questline and that makes sense.

 

I don't think many of these places need a bank purely because of how close they are to a major town which has a bank

 

While yes I do agree that some places on the list are near bigger cities with banks is that ive noticed a couple places that have an item identifier and a blacksmith but not a bank, like Maex for example which i think could use a bank so that you don't have to run back to rodoroc.

 

I think a better measure of if a place needs a bank or not should be based on how independent the town is and how convenient having a bank there would actually be. Something like Aldori really should have a bank since it's basically it's own city with it's own people and I think Jofash is so far away from basically everywhere that having a bank there would be good too so those are the two I voted for. I think I'm on the fence about Maex, if somebody makes a really good argument for it I'm willing to change on that but I don't think any of the others on this list really need a bank.

That said, I think there are some places which could use a bank, like the Qira hive, ToA and every regular dungeon, not for lore reasons but just for convenience reasons though I'm sure a lot of people won't agree with that opinion, probably for the better honestly.

 

Relos particularly should have a bank, since there’s currently next to nothing there, and it’s still relatively far from Corkus City

 

Relos and Maex need banks, especially since the amount of powders and emeralds you get when grinding frozen heights means you have to run back and forth to rodoroc every 5 mins

 

And it wouldnt be hard to add banks to some of the locations mentioned above because they are remaking gavel in the next update, who knows?

Jofash is really the only place on this list that could use it, maybe relos, but even then corkus city exists.

My reasoning:

Maltic: At level, it is quite far from Ragni. (Y)
Lexdale: Close to Gelibord, but if the lore changes in 1.20, it may make more sense to have a bank there. (N)
Ternaves: This would actually be useful before you do A Sandy Scandal as it is close to Almuj. (Y)
Bremminglar: Close to Almuj, but Ternaves is closer, so this seems a bit unnecessary because you can just go to Almuj. (N)
Aldorei: The Elves don't like money. (N)
Maex: This one is really annoying as it has many other things, and is quite far away from Rodoroc. (Y)
Jofash Docks: I'm not sure why you would want to go through the pass and all the way to Jofash when there is legit nothing there. (N)
Relos: It has many other things including an identifier, and is far away from Corkus City. (Y)
Bucie: Bucie is closest to Gelibord, a level 60 town, but Bucie is level 40, and Llevigar is quite a while away. (Y)
Efilim: It's close to Gelibord, but it's like 10 levels above and Efilim has every single crafting station. (Y)

 

do you know how long i searched for a bank in maex only to realize it just wasn't there? for a town with most merchants, it was kind of annoying to travel the 300-400 blocks back to rodoroc's bank

 

Llevigar is like 30seconds-1min away, its close enough to not be worth it.

whilst it is annoying to not have a bank, that seem s to kinda separate "big town" from a "small town". That's just my option, I've already voted on a few I agree with so yea. I think coming up with a general rule to decide which fits, then filling in the ones that don't make sense.
