Hey everyone! I’ve been thinking about this for awhile and seeing as 90% of games out there have achievements I think this might be a good idea for Wynncraft! Some examples for some achievements would be to do the secret discoveries, find all regular discoveries, do every dungeon at least once, kill a certain amount of mobs, open chests, do boss alters, kill players in hunted mode, complete legendary island, do all quests, get a mythic, get every mythic, enter a city for the first time, get to level 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 105, 106, throw a bomb, and many more. I think this would be a great implication because it give the player a sense of accomplishment for doing something and gives the player something to work towards. I think for the most part achievements should have different types of difficulty levels and the higher the difficulty level the higher the reward. For example an achievement like “Enter Detlas for the first time” would give a much smaller reward than a harder achievement like “Complete every dungeon at least 5 times” or “ Kill 100 different players in hunted mode”. I think the difficulty levels for achievements should work like this, Easy: a couple emeralds and some xp , Normal: a little more emeralds and a little more xp, Hard: same type of rewards as the last two but also a tier 1 crate, Extreme: same rewards and a tier 2 crate, Impossible: same rewards but also a tier 3 crate. Obviously this’d need balancing and probably a lot of polishing for this to become a thing but I think it would be a great thing to add and something to work for in the end game. Please share your feedback in the reply’s on weather you like it or not. I’d also like to hear your ideas for some possible achievements to be added! As a side note I’m sorry for the bad formatting I’ve never been too good on knowing how to keep my writing neat.

I like the idea, the Tier 3 crate seems a bit op, but other than that it seems reasonably balanced.
A way to balance this could be Hard: reasonable amount of emeralds and xp + random item (like item bomb); Extreme: large amount of emeralds and xp (around 20 - 30 EB?) + 2 random items (like item bomb); Impossible: very large amount of emeralds and xp (maybe up to 1 LE?) + 2 (3?) random items (like item bomb) + maybe a T1 crate.
Of course, everything can be changed, but these are my suggestions.

Thanks for the reply! I do agree with you the tier 3 crate may seem a little op at first but I don’t think it would be if it were to be added. The reason I say this is because there would only be around 3-5 impossible achievements and each one would take a lot of time to complete. These types of achievements would be like beat every dungeon like 50 times or kill 500,000 mobs. I think though if there were to be over 5 impossible achievements I 100% agree with you.

    Fair enough.
When you put it this way, though, I almost think that a T3 crate (being cosmetic) isn't enough ;)

Well I don’t think achievements should really be an integral part in getting leveled up or getting emeralds, even though that’s what most people are gonna use it for, I just think it should be this side thing for fun that you can get some cool awards for completing something.

I guess that fits the theme of Wynncraft having many cosmetic things that don't actually do anything.

I like the idea so long as these are profile based and you don’t get these reset with each class

Achievements are things that I always hunt in any game that I play. I would love to see some in Wynncraft too.

Maybe make a tier system for it. I will give an example better than explaining it:
♦ The Conqueror of the Corrupted:
    ✧ Tier 1 | Complete 1 Corrupted Dungeon | Reward: 5k xp
    ✧ Tier 2 | Complete 4 Corrupted Dungeon | Reward: 8k xp
    ✧ Tier 3 | Complete 10 Corrupted Dungeon | Reward: 12k xp
    ✧ Tier 4 | Complete 20 Corrupted Dungeon | Reward: 16k xp + Something else

Rewards scale differently depending on the difficulty of the achievement and what tier it's currently at. So they aren't so simple.

Rename this please, it makes no sense lore-wise. You can't conquer Corruption (yes, I onow it is just a name that was supposed to be epic)

Yeah I was thinking of something like that in the level up type achievements. I think other types of versions of that achievement could be like, kill mobs, kill players, leveling up professions, and probably several others. I think this is something that could be added if achievements were a thing I just don’t think that every achievement should be like this.

They could add collectables and make achievements for those. Like feathers, heads or mythical coins that you have to find in the world and you get an achievement for finding them all. They could also introduce some kind of jumping puzzles, and an x number of those can unlock an achievement.
Complete x quest while wearing a specific piece of armor that's related to that quest... There are a bunch of things that they can add to make the achievement system more interesting.

I think this is a good idea so that way not all achievements are just you grinding.

this makes 0 sense lol... I think an interesting achievement system would be similar to normal mc, like steps to guide you through the game. In this case, it should be used to prompt the player to do stuff they wouldn't otherwise do, not wear a random chestplate during a quest...

Also would like to know what GUI ideas you have for this. The achievements menu will become the guild menu as of 1.20, and that's the best place to do it.

Whilst that would be like normal Minecraft, it isn't the point of this suggestion.
This is suggesting that there are achievement-like challenges, not progression suggestions, as these are covered by quests.

I was thinking of having it be in the quest book and have its own little section like with the secret discoveries and mini quests

If they implement achievements, I would assume they would be account wide and not per class. So one can redo the quest on another character and hunt that specific achievement. That's the fun in achievement hunting.

To guide the player through the game? There's a wiki for that. Achievements are supposed to be fun or challenging tasks that force you to do stuff that you wouldn't usually do, for a reward.
