Rename #guild_politics

Hi! For those who don't know yet, there's a new channel in the discord named Guild politics. However, the channel is mainly used for general guild talk and I think it'd be much better for the overall discord server if it was a general guild chat called #Guild_chat or something similar. It'd keep it's original intent while also making the channel name less misleading and making the channel more open for anyone interested in guilds!

It's been surprisingly civil so far and actually a pretty successful chat

 

depends on what you consider successfull. If mantaining the chat civil and having plenty of guild discussionsis successfull for you then yeah, but in terms of guild politics it wasnt successful and never will because you dont do politics on public chats... I still liked the channel and the attention given to guilds, and i think it will be a pog channel if changed name and a bit repurposed to be like guild discussions.

 

To be fair there won't be many guild politics til 1.20, but yeah that's a big part of why I made this thread- most guild politics wont be handled over official wynn platforms, but a general guild discussion channel would be used by a lot of people tbh

I believe it is named this way because of the new resource paths coming in 1.20. You would have to make deals with guilds who border you and stuff. Should be renamed to ''Guild Negotiations'' because of this.

 

I understand that but guild negotiations in a public channel isn't going to be frequently used and that falls under a general guild chat too technically. If it were renamed it'd keep it's original purpose and be more open at the same time.

 

Tell me, how much serious guild politics and negotiations will be actually done there? They will be most likely done in the background
