Dungeons Key Upgrade/degrade System

I made something like this 6 months ago. So how this works is:
Key Upgraders:
3 keys/6 Fragments = 1 Key of 9 lvls ahead
The outliers are:
DS -> IP
For IP keys you need 5 DS keys, or 6 Fragments for an IP key
GG -> FF
You need 4 GG keys + 2 Fragments/5 GG Keys to make an FF Key (Since FF is 36 levels ahead)
There should be Corrupted Key Upgraders which basically upgrade keys except for corrupted dungeons, and it's 2 corrupted keys for a corrupt dungeon 4 levels ahead (I don't think 11 levels (FF -> EO) is much different then 9)

Benefits:
Somewhat can make a profit as later level dungeon keys are easier (from my experience) to sell.
For mid-level playthroughs, you can upgrade keys to get one your level if you need.
If you want to run a dungeon with a friend it can help.

Key Degraders:
1 Key/3 Fragments 9 levels higher then another can be converted into 2 Lower level keys as you pay emeralds.
1 EO Key + 20 EB -> 2 FF Keys
1 FF Key + 15 EB -> 3 GG Keys
1 GG Key + 12 EB -> 2 UR Keys
1 UR Key + 10 EB -> 2 IB Keys
1 IB Key + 8 EB -> 2 SST Keys
1 SST + 4 EB -> 2 UC Keys
1 UC Key + 2 EB ,> 2 LS key
1 LS + 1 EB -> 2 IP keys
1 IP Key + 1 EB -> 5 DS Keys



I am going to make a corrupted version of that tomorrow.

This is a good idea, however it seems OP for some (for instance doing FF once and getting an EO key from it), and underpowered for others (for instance getting 5 Decrepit Sewers keys just to do Infested Pit).
Also, where would the Upgraders/Degraders be?

 

DS keys are easy as heck to get and this will give a reason to actually use DS keys) to get (They take like 20 seconds to get), and FF is pretty long (Let's say 20-30 minutes, in that time you can get an EO key) if you ask me and it can serve for leftover fragments (Honestly I don't see too much of a point in, keep in mind I said too much because like you'd only want it for a cool FF reward/running it with a friend and otherwise I don't see much point after you get the good item because the only reason you should run it afterwards is if you want to help a friend/haven't done it in a bit and want to see how it was and i wouldn't recommend actively key hunting to upgrade keys).

Corrupted versions in towns/Forgery, and others in town, but the dungeons that you can upgrade/degrade for depend on the city level

 

So DS to IP and IP to LS in Ragni; IP to LS and LS to UC in Detlas; LS to UC and UC to SST in Nemract; UC to SST and SST to IB in Almuj; SST to IB and IB to UR in Nesaak; IB to UR and UR to GG in Troms; UR to GG and GG to FF in Pirate Town; GG to FF and FF to EO in Corkus City; and FF to EO in Lutho?

 

It should go like that, except not sure if Pirate Town should have an upgrader to/degrader from a dungeon 30 levels higher then the place (Ig its fine as Detlas has IB tp scrolls)

 

Yeah, I just did Before -> Dungeon Dungeon -> After. I think it should because then people can convert their keys straight after finishing the dungeon and not have to go to Corkus City...

 

1 LE is really too expensive. EO keys are already one of the hardest to get, and FF keys are comparatively easy to get.

Maybe just cap it at 10 or 20 EB.

 

Ok I'ved nerfed the price after thinking about it. I think it more affordable and not too expensive. I think 10 EB is way too low for an EO key conversion, 20 seems more reasonable.
Also Corkus isnt far from GG, /kill or take seaskipper to pirate town and use the nexus (Or seaskipper), go to nemract (If no selchar passes at pirate town which I dont think there is) then go to selchar and use wavebreaker (There shouldn't be a reason to not start Envoy 1 as even to access wavebreaker you need to just take like 20 seconds). If you have Nexus, it should take around a minute or two, otherwise 3 minutes if you've done part or whole of envoy 1, or if you need to swim maybe 5 minutes.

Edit: Pirate cove has selchar passes so itd take like 2 mins without nexus, with nexus like 1 minute or like 5 mins if you're not high enough lvl for Envoy 1 but I'd use a lvl 83+ playthro or just wait for later

 

I'm not sure that level 15 or whatever the IP level is players have 2 EB?

2 Eb I wouldn't say is hard to get (Takes like 5 mins or less) but I guess 2 eb is a lot at lvl 18

 

I agree that it's easy to get, but after starting a new class recently I have remembered how little emeralds you get at low levels.

 

I will start a character and see lol but afaik a new lvl 18 class took like 5m for like 5 eb, I will see tho

That statement was before the day that I found two within 1 minute of each other. Apparently the middle of the eyeball forest (sw of the large group of spikes with red bases) is a spawn location for them.

FF key guardians are similar, it spawns quite often in south eastern corkus. Occasionally in geyser pit too but thats really rare.
