Guild Merging Command

Another thing I see is that if 2 guilds want to merge, one has to delete/leave their guild and thus deleting all their guild emeralds, xp they've earned and territories

A guild merging command would make it able to merge 2 guilds into one, also merging the bank money, the exp and territories.
This is how I imagine it:

1. Guild 1 and Guild 2 decide they want to merge.
2. A window comes up where they have to write name of the *new* merged guild (like writing on a sign), both have to write the same name, otherwise it wont work.
3. Than a bank like window comes up where the can go to other pages and stuff like that. The heads of the players of both guilds will be seen. The players are ordered by how much xp they contributed, you can also sort players by other stats like, how much ems they contributed or how long was the last time they were online
4. They choose all the players they want to have in the new guild, and the players keep the stats after the transfer
5. Exp, guild bank, territories will all merge into the new guild.
6. The ranks also stay the same, but instead of only having 1 guild leader, you have 2.
7. If the guild wants to merge with a third guild, both guild leaders would have to agree

 

I think this is a good idea, however I don't see the practical application...
Especially with the trading of resources coming in 1.20, I don't think this is really needed.

 

Many guilds merge yet they leave behind basicall everything their guild had achieved, whats not practical about it?

 

This would be amazing! No longer forgetting BNU is IBT would just be crazy.

But, can new guilds have the same name or three-letter code?
Or would it redirect?
Also, what if they want to keep one of the guilds not make a new one?

 

I dont understand the question really, the guild name will have to be decided by the leaders (It can be anew name, but can also stay the name of one of their guilds, Example: IBT and HAX merge, They can decide that their name will be something new like DBZ or stay either IBT or HAX), the merged guild will function as any normal guild but with 2 leaders

If they want to keep the guilds than they wont merge at all, why would they have 2 guilds? Or are you talking about alliances, where they dont merge, they just agree not to attack eachother?

 

Sorry, I was asking whether, once the new guild is created (as a merge of the two others), a new guild can be created with the same three-letter code as one of the guilds that merged...

Okay, but what if people aren't aware of the guild merge and they want to interact with the guild but accidentally interact with a new, separate, guild?

 

Its all up to the leader who they merge with, also they will automatically be moved to the new guild. If they dont tell the leader that they dont want to merge its their fault.

I think they are assuming that doing /guild join BNU or other interactions with the three-letter-code OR name would redirect to IBT.
Would this happen or would someone accidentally join a new, separate guild named BNU if that was created?

 

How could you even join a different guild? You can only join guilds if you are invited.

I just think that there should be a small time period where the name cannot be used because people could be confused if a new guild takes over a lot of the map, or people could impersonate guilds. After a week (?) or so, people would be more used to the merge and would be less likely for these things to happen.

 

Its a basic suggestion, the admins can change anything if they want to balance it ig.
