During my journey throughout the world of Wynn, whenever it has been loot-running, questing, exploring, I've always noticed how fast my inventory kept filling up. Though I am pretty sure this has been mentioned before, I would think pouches / backpacks would make a great addition to the world of Wynncraft.

Taken inspiration from Guild Wars 2 & Hypixel's skyblock,

This is definitely possible to implement in the game since we already have something similar to this idea, which is the ingredient pouch, which holds all of your ingredients. Though pouches would have to be limited since if we could hold each pouch for each inventory slot, that would be a ton of slots. And of course not allowing backpacks to go inside another backpack.

I propose having at least only one backpack / pouch per class!

And in those backpacks has a tier level: Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, Tier IV, and Tier V

    Tier I - common , Tier II - Unique , Tier III - Rare, Tier IV - Legendary, Tier V - Mythic

Mythic?! Ok, I may be going a little bit to far in this idea, but this could work! Since it is a backpack, having its rarity set to mythic wouldn't harm any other mythic in term of Wynncraft economy, and it can give endgame players a goal to achieve. Since the next idea I propose in how to level up backpack / pouches !

    Tier I - common

Though another forum post considered a quest to implement backpacks, I propose a better solution that would fit more into any mmorpg, and that is simply just BUYING it from a merchant. Boring, yeah I know, but anyone coming to or from any mmorpg has a universal understanding of this concept. Making it easier for new players to implement themselves in the economy, which is very strong since I know many new players quitting wynncraft since everything seemed a tad bit too much for them.

Each merchant in all the main cities / towns ( ex: ragni, troms, detlas, cinfras, etc ). Though it would be HEAVILY boring if each merchant gave the same backpacks, so for each region / culture in that particular area, the backpacks would have its own unqiue cosmetics. So Levigar could be quartz, Rodoroc could be dwarven, etc.

Tier II, Tier III, and Tier IV can be achieved be grinding. I know, quite boring. But in order to save time with gaining more storage, you would have to sacrifice some time in order to gain that.

Tier V - Mythic, would also be achieved by grinding, a whole ton of grinding at that. At least a stack or two worth of LE of ingredients / materials to upgrade it.

Though you have the option to grind, you necessary don't have too since you could buy all the ingredients / materials from the marketplace. This would create a dramatic shift in the prices of ingredients though, causing materials to skyrocket.

Side notes : Backpacks / pouches will not be able to be tradable and will work similar to the ingredient pouch. And backpacks can only work when you put it on your character slot. They can be removed of course so you can trade it for different backpack cosmetics
    TL:DR

Implementing backpacks would be a huge game changer to wynncraft. Giving players throughout every level to grind for better storage space.

Allowing only one per class, making it untradable

Grinding for it (I know boring), to save time, you must sacrifice some time

And a flex item like a Tier V Mythic Backpack would give a goal for endgame players

Perhaps you should go to the bank more often or filter out useless stuff?

Though this is a popular and common answer to backpacks, backpacks would give so much more than storage space. Giving players an endgame goal to grind on.

haha it isn't useless, knowing from previous experience with different mmorpgs. Backpacks definitely does give an ease to life to many parts of the game.

This I agree with, though I'm just saying it wouldn't hurt to gain a bit more inventory slots

I'll be against suggestions to add backpacks, especially ones with lots of space, because of problems with inflation. Someone made a very good forums post about the economic implications of adding a backpack and what could happen to the emerald's purchasing power, but I can't find it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; backpacks would very probably utterly destroy the economy. You'd be able to increase the profitability of every loot run by the number of slots in the backpack. 27 slots would literally double it if you have one weapon, the backpack, and nothing else. Multiply that by the number of lootruns per day, and you get a pretty distressing sum being added to the economy on a daily basis.

first off, the game is designed so that you have to return to banks every now and then, and so that you cannot keep everything. you'll have to choose what items are worth keeping.

secondly, this practically works as more, cheaper, bank space. unbalanced.

thirdly, as others have said, this would mess up the economy due to lootruns.
