New Stat: +x% Poison

    The idea:
    Soo... As we all know 129 str = +75% spell dmg, +75% melee dmg, +75% poison.
    t6 Courage = +150% spell dmg, +150% melee dmg, +150% poison (currently this % poison is multiplicative with the one from strength, they should be made additive).
    % spell dmg is a stat already, % melee dmg is a stat, % poison isn't.

    The mechanic:
    +x% poison buffs raw poison and is additive with the % poison from strength and from courage/curse.
    Formula:
    • (final poison) = (raw poison) * ((% poison from strength) + (% poison from your gear) + (% poison from courage or curse))
    Example: 10k raw poison, +25% poison, t6 courage will reslut in

    The use:

    • Heavy poison builds
    • Toxoplasmosis rework (give it a huge amount of +poison% but greatly lower / remove the raw poison, meaning it's great if you use a few raw poison boosters but isn't that great without any raw poison items). This would also prevent Toxo from being the use-and-win option for PvP while buffing it for PvE.

    Edit: neg. poison % could also lower the poison you take but I'm not sure if it should

    I disagree with this idea, it overcomplicates things and this would need a rework of every item related to the poison stat for it to become remotely close to being balanced. And even when it seems balanced, a 'looks can be deceiving' scenario would play out and people will most likely be finding absolutely broken builds to abuse the %stat (especially since crafteds exist)

    It's the best way to balance poison slap items by requiring other slots though, stuff like planet healer would need to be nerfed but w/e



    I personally want rainbow defense% and rainbow damage% to lessen the mental advantage rainbow sp slap has to new players and to condense rainbow items (they'll need to be toned down but w/e) but

    Just don't add too high poison % or lower raw poison on a few items :)

    It would have to be more than a few items, which is why I said what I said. If it seemed like a simple thing to balance out, I wouldn't rly mind but it's really going to be a real pain to work out. You see, toxo is a mythic, so clearly you'd have to give it a pretty high base stat at least. Toxo currently ranges from about 3000-13000 poison, so you'd have to make sure it can at least hit that much with fairly regular gear in order to not upset every toxo owner in the community.

    But then once you make it so that toxo cam achieve such levels of poison with fairly regular gear, it'll mean that toxo would be able to reach insane levels of poison depending on your gear. Probably even more than before, because %poison would mean that you get more from stacking raw than before. Especially, if %poison becomes a thing on other gear and not just toxo, surely people will find ridiculous gear combinations.

    First of all, poison %, strength and courage/curse will be additive if this gets added. And about toxo: It shouldnt be able to do 20k poison hits with courage if you only add dying lobelia and contrast
