    disclaimer: i'm basically making this thread as a half joke, half serious kind of thing. we often happen to see all of these non-detailed summoner classes, so as a result, i've decided to make a greatly over-complicated conceptual version in response.​


    Overview


    Spirit Caller: A class that utilizes spirits to fight against their enemies.
    Damage: [3/5]
    Defense: [2/5] (0.8 base defense, equal to mage)
    Utility: [5/5]
    Range: [2/5]
    Difficulty: [***]


    Main Attack

    Their weapons, "Emblems", have a x0.8 damage multiplier from baseline--the exact same as Warrior.

    The spirit caller's main attack hitbox is a disjointed ring in front of the player. It has a radius of 2.5 blocks and reaches up 4 blocks into the air, centered around a point 4 blocks in front of the player. This means that while it does have quite a good AoE, it will not attack enemies directly on the block in front or on top of the player.

    Spells

    First Spell - Call Spirits: Call forth some spirits to defeat foes.
    Spell Multiplier: 40% per hit
    Mana Cost: 4/4/6 mana

    Effects:
    If no spirits currently summoned: Spawn two/three spirits with an aggro range of six blocks on the location the player is looking, with a maximum distance of eight blocks. They're invulnerable, but only last for seven/seven/ten seconds, draining one point of mana for each second they're summoned (does not disable mana regen ID). Their attack speed is once every second, and have a movement speed of 200% the player's walk speed.

    Spirits do not attract mob aggro.

    If spirits are currently summoned: Fire a small, non-damaging beam with a range of ten blocks. All currently spawned spirits will attack the mob that it hits (6 mana cost), ignoring their previous target.
    this does two things, gives access to non-terrible single target damage, and also solves the issue of wynncraft's terrible targeting AI

    If spirits are currently summoned (shift-cast): Despawn all spirits (no mana cost).

    Upgrades:
    Grade 2:
    +Spiritual Disruption: Spirits inflict -40% movement penalty on enemies attacked for half a second (does not stack with 3rd spell).

    Grade 3:
    +Numerical Advantage: Summon an additional spirit and increase lifespan of spirits from 7 to 10 seconds. However, rate of mana drain increases by 50% (every 2/3 of a second).


    Second Spell - Windspirit: Quickly move in a certain direction to avoid attacks.
    Spell Multiplier: 0%/50%/33% per hit
    Mana Cost: 4/3/2

    Effects:
    Launches player to the side about four to ten blocks in a straight line. Direction and distance is determined by the buttons the player is pressing, with forwards going about ten blocks, diagonally forwards going about nine blocks, sideways going about eight blocks, diagonally backwards going about six blocks, and straight backwards going about four blocks.

    Upgrades:
    Grade 2:
    +Suction: Enemies within a three block radius are slightly pulled towards the location the spell was cast.

    Grade 3:
    +Vacuum: The radius of suction becomes a three second duration DoT attack, damaging and slightly pulling mobs that are within the radius every second.


    Third Spell - Kamikaze: Trigger an explosion on you/your spirits, damaging all mobs within the blast radius.
    Spell Multiplier: 175%/135%/135% per hit
    Mana Cost: 8/9/10

    Effects:
    If no spirits currently summoned: Trigger a small burst centered on the player with a radius of three blocks, knocking back mobs within the radius. Costs an extra two mana.

    If spirits are currently summoned: All spirits instantly explode, damaging mobs within a four block radius of each individual spirit.

    Upgrades:
    Grade 2:
    +Concussive Blast: Stuns all mobs in the blast radius for one second.

    Grade 3:
    +Incorporeal Shock: Increase damage taken by 15% on all mobs in the blast radius for ten seconds (does not stack).


    Fourth Spell - Bolster: Increase attack and movement speed of your spirits.
    Spell Multiplier: 0%
    Mana Cost: 8

    Effects:
    If no spirits currently summoned: Nothing happens (no mana cost).

    If spirits are currently summoned but not bolstered: Double movement and increase attack speed of all spirits by 50%, reset lifespan of spirits to half the max duration. Increase rate of mana drain by 50% (1 every 0.66 seconds for 1st spell grade 1/2, 1 every 0.44 seconds for 1st spell grade 3).

    If spirits are already summoned and bolstered: Nothing happens (no mana cost).

    Upgrades:
    Grade 2:
    +Weakening Touch: Enemies hit by bolstered spirits deal 15% less damage.

    Grade 3:
    +Restoration: Resets lifespan of spirits to six seconds.


    Reskin

    Necromancer
    First Spell: Summon Phantoms
    Second Spell: Jinxed Step
    Third Spell: Necromantic Breakdown
    Fourth Spell: Undeathly Reinforcement

    Oh can you hit stuff behind walls with the main attack, and can you aim the main attack upwards/downwards? Also pog new class idea
