Hey! I am pretty new to building, but here is what I made for myself

    https://wynndata.tk/s/ms8o2p

I tried to keep the damage high while still having good mana regen and intelligence/agility. While the defenses are not great, they are better than some of the glassy builds I have seen, all while having almost 11k hp with decent health regen. It isn't cutting the skill points too tight either, as there are still 22 to play around with. I am not entirely sure what requirements a spam spell build requires, but I tried to make sure there is plenty of mana. I tried to keep it all equipment that is easy to get, aside from gigabyte, since I ran ff for xp. That can be replaced with errant. That's all I can think of..

Please give me some insight and suggestions, or just feedback, I know people play differently and there are tons of amazing items and builds out there. I can even take a little criticism. Thanks!

Also a quick FYI, I am under the impression that a negative life steal will only affect you if you melee, which I pretty much never do

virtuoso and nighthawk will get a nerf at some point but it works for now

anyhow... your build isn't the worst out there.

first of all it's important to optimize your intelligence. put just enough sp into intel that you need for your spell cost reduction so you could use other skill points for more agility for example.
    https://www.wynndata.tk/mana/

there are also ways to reduce spell costs with grookwarts accessories (draoi's fair and dragon's eye most commonly)
or you could use some armor that has reduced spell cost, most of them are a percentage, not static like grookwarts ones.
secondly, your chestplate is kinda meh, that small amount of hp regen won't really save you from anything, just focus on mana/damage/health instead. gale's force isn't meant for a tank build. it's a mobile spell bow. you're gonna be chugging health pots either way, unless you're an absolute god at dodging.
for an air spell build i would swap memento for capricorn. you won't have to deal with negative lifesteal and it's not gonna be changing any time soon (like the virtuoso is).

gigabyte isn't the best idea, you don't need skill points in every skill here and lose health. also get rid of the nebulous so you wont have to waste sp in where you dont actually need it.
instead get damage or mana regen focused stuff. errant as you mentioned isnt a bad pick. most optimal in alot of builds would be diamond hydro necklace. vortex bracer is a good bracelet for air spell build.

Thank you! That was all very useful, I will do my best to implement all of those tips. Here is one I put together,

    https://wynndata.tk/s/bl0y2d

I used a lot of your advice, looked up the stats, and saw that I hadn't chosen the best items. I kept didn't use a few things like Capricorn and Diamond Steam Necklace due to me not having the means to get them yet, whether that be beating li or money (and I don't mind negative ls). I also steered away from Nighthawk and Draoi in the case of a future nerf, I didn't want my build focused on that gimmick.

Anyway, thank you for all the advice!
