Hi, so my idea is that we could make a mission/bounty board but where people who need some help with a dungeon, or a quest could ask for help and not on the forum or either in game.
Because on the forum there is a chance that it would just get overlooked and fall into oblivion where no one would notice it. On the other hand if you ask for help in game then there is the distance problem.
So if we would make this people could sort by difficulty or other filters and help those who need it. If someone else has other specific ideas about what could be added to this or know a place where this is already happening, then please let me know.

not too sure what you mean by the in game "distance" problem considering that chat can only be seen by people in the same area

also, discord exists, and you can generally get someone to help you pretty quickly.

overall, i don't see a need for this.

    -1, add a poll

Try getting someone to help you with EO in discord or in the forums
It isn't that easy or fast

hm, i'll have to trust you on that

i know forums is shit but i generally see decent success on discord, and, again, you can likely just turn on playerghosts at eo entrace to find a world with people running

I'm pretty new to this forum so I don't know why is it good, this is why I haven't added it. How can I add it if I already finish the post?

There are 3 easy ways to handle things like this:

Planning parlour, wynncraft discord, or just go to detlas with playerghosts on. There's almost always gonna be someone willing to help you (unless its EO but lets not think about that)

My point is, I really don't see the need to add a 4th method of requesting help with something

You alredy wrote what is the problem with the in game distance, like for example I'm in Detlas, but there is a beginner who needs some help in Ragni, then I can't help them. This usually isn't a huge issue because fortunately there are a lot of helpful people on the server and everywhere on the map, but there are exeptions and this is why I had this idea.

And yes I know about dc, but it's again on a smaller scale, because what if I haven't opened dc and someone need help (I could say the same here as before).
    ________________________________
Yeah I understand that there are lot of ways to ask for help, which is mostly convenient for the person who needs help, because they just write: pls help with X or Y.

But what if we look at the helper's side? Sometimes I just get bored from doing quests and grinding or crafting and in these times I usually watch the chat if anyone needs help, but if we don't count the rare cases, then it's usually just AFK. But if we had a system where I can see all of them or even filter them, then it would be better for me, and of course for the person who needs help as well.

You can just go into the discord and look at recent posts in the help channel

i completely thought that you were looking at this from a needing-help perspective, and not a giving-help perspective.

if one would need help, they can go to the area and enable playerghosts, as i said.

but for giving random people help, like i believe you are saying, you can always just lurk discord/forums and help anyone that asks.

Yeah but they're not in-game options, so apart from shouts I do sort of understand this.

How about instead of a bounty board we have a world-corralled seperate help chat?

I think this is a great idea. Sure we have discord and forums but this feels like a more easy to use system and a system that would help newer players more.

I had an idea like this the other day. It could function as a board in most towns that you can go to and write what you need, then give a certain number of emeralds to those who helped you. It could work to help players in need, as well as give another way to make emeralds for those who are not as keen on things like lootrunning.

but how would the emeralds always be paid? there is so much room for exploitation and scamming, because it would be incredibly difficult for the server to automatically verify if the task had been completed

It could be done in a way where the board has options that you choose, and then you could give extra detail, like you could go to the board and select, "Need help with CUR" then the server will check every so often, if someone has taken the quest, and if you have also completed CUR. This is the best I can think of though if it seems like it wont I would be open to feedback

Why even make it paid? You should pay them only if you either want to or you made a deal

This is a great idea as well, but I think it's more complicated to solve for the developers than a website. But I'll add it, because it's sounds fun
