In the quest The Canyon Guides, you have to escort a man named Seluc from a cave to the Bantisu Air Temple. This quest is in the game to show the purpose of the air temple, and to show that COTL isn't just a regular canyon, it has special properties that the sages in the air temple understand.

Now let's hop right into the issues. First issue: you don't know where you're supposed to go. There are many paths back to the starting NPC. This quest is given at level 84. How is one supposed to know how to navigate the canyon already? In my first two attempts, I tried going through the red path, but you were supposed to go through the green path.

I was completely unaware that there was an opening there. The rockslides that fall give you an indication that you're going the right way, but there is zero indication if you're going the wrong way. I tried the red way twice. The first time, Seluc despawned. The second time, he DIED (near the red X). That brings me to the next issue.

His AI needs to be fixed. Whenever any mob is within proximity of him, he viciously attacks that mob. He's supposed to be following me, not rounding off the level that the Gavel quests failed to. He constantly gets sidetracked by mobs, many times even chasing them while I'm just trying to guide him back. Also, after he does this, he just stands stationarily in place until I return to him and right click him, at which point he will begin following me again (or more likely, find another mob to begin attacking).

    It was insanely frustrating.

So how do we fix these two issues? For the first issue, I think there should be some indicator of which way you're supposed to go. Perhaps add brown carpet or redstone in the green path, and have the starting NPC say to follow it to help Seluc return. And for the second issue, make him not a blue NPC. There's no reason for him to be "helping" us kill mobs (helping in quotations because he barely helps anyway). Just make him a green NPC that follows us, like Tasim and Aledar.

I would also like to add that his HP or Regen (Or both) should be buffed, or he should just not be attackable, since the huge swarm of mobs + the fact you can accidentally attack Seluc makes him very vulnerable. I knew twice where to go, but despite that, he died because I accidentally kept attacking him with totem (as a Shaman) bc totem literally gives access to your 2nd and 3nd spell. I would be totally fine if we couldn't attack him but still kept his trashy HP and Regen. Also I would recommend adding a poll, as I don't think people would like going through like several responses.
