This sounds pointless and it will be for some, but I think as an mmoRPG, this would benefit some people, please - if you have the time - read this thread before answering the poll.

Anyway, context: Today, I've been playing a fair bit of wynncraft on my shaman class and it's all going well until I'm down to 3 soul points from using TP Scrolls across the 2 provinces (currently at level 68, so every other quest is on the other province), now fair enough; my fault - shouldn't have used so many scrolls when the seaskipper and nexus is a thing.

Point is I don't want to lose any of my stuff from dying, but I still want to play today, thus I propose Client-side Time (+ Weather, I'll get to this later).

Now as a suggestion, I lied as I have ideas for what to be implemented for the personal Time to make sense:

-Firstly, functional Inns! These would be buildings scattered around the world with an interact-able innkeeper, who would be a merchant 'selling' rooms (along with consumable food and drinks that has no effects) which would be a way to be able to get a soul point faster as day would come quicker - hence being client-side, as it wouldn't be great if the sky just kept changing around all the time for others.

Rooms have a chance to be full as other players (and maybe other NPCS, as a random encounter?) use them, meaning there could be a slim chance you couldn't get a room, though since other people's days/nights are different to yours you should be able to get a room.

By sleeping in a Inn, the playing would receive a small-shot boost, maybe like increased regeneration or a small speed boost for x amount of time.

Inns would also be fun places too, with NPCs to talk too in the Tavern and lots of food and drink for role-playing. Maybe even mini-games or puzzles to be able to 'win' (access) a higher levelled loot chest?

-Secondly, functional campsites. Similar to inns only free but the risk of being attacked by mobs, and no bonus effect would be given, but you would still receive the soul point.

Both Inns and Campsites cannot be used in the day either (though the merchants and NPCs in Inns can obviously be talked to, etc, only no rooms can be 'purchased'.

I was thinking it could be like the seaskipper; how you buy the pass but it only works once, so you have to buy it again.

Weather wouldn't be as a big of a feature and would be able to be toggled on or off, though I believe it should be included since it makes the world feel that bit more real if it begins to rain!

    Other points about both:

-If your role-playing in a party, then the members of the party can set their time to be in line with the owners though no soul pint would be gained if it went forward to a day.

-In general, I think the day/night cycle should be set a bit longer, again for realism but this could also be a feature that could be toggled.

This is not a major feature but being an RPG, I think wynncraft deserves to have such features for people who do want to roleplay + it would also be useful if you ever need that extra soul point to be on the safer side.

Another note about technical stuff; I haven't got a clue if this would be possible, though I do know that in 'A Grave mistake as you cross the gate into the village behind Twain Mansion, it automatically turns your time to night, despite if it was day before.

Before anyone says so, I know Soul Point Regen is a thing, though I get unlucky or just don't have good enough equipment on to increase the chance of getting multiple soul points.

I like the inn idea, I'm not fully keen on the weather part, seems a bit useless to me. I don't know if they can add that either, but I wouldn't be against it if they did

Speed boost with inn wouldn't work imo as well, but apart from that I like it

That would defeat the purpose of soul points being regenerated once per 20 minutes or hour. It's supposed to take time, and it encourages the player to die less frequently. In exchange for defeating that purpose, the game would gain a tiny money sink.

I semi-like this suggestion? I don't think inns should regenerate soul points, but I do like the idea of inns. Having interactable NPCs outside of quests and/or cities would make the game a lot more immersive.

No one has the intention of dying but a boss battle can go wrong or like yesterday, I wanted to do the alter of sanctification and didn't realise it was bugged until after and couldn't leave as the leaf block blocks the way and my totem could fit through it to haul myself out, I'd have used scrolls but 'there were mobs nearby and couldn't kill them so /kill was my only option.

the point of soul points is to limit the player in a non-resource way, so a way to regain them quicker with money would kind of break the system

the weather is fine and good though, there could also be custom weathers like wind made with something that isn't too laggy
