World Musicians / Royal Orchestras

I believe it would add a lot of color to Wynncraft, if throughout Wynn and Gavel, there were musicians and royal orchestra's, as well as maybe some quests about different types of music that is appreciated throughout the provinces! Different areas would have different genres of music. I have a few examples of what area's orchestras could sound like in a sense.

Examples, these are modern pieces, but they give a general idea of musical style within the provines

These are just some style examples of how each city and economic class represents their music.

 

Um... doesn't the game already have that? But with Noteblocks? Not even sure if you can even add real music to the game. That would require a mod :P

 

It wouldn't require a mod, but it would increase the size of resource pack drastically.

Gonna be honest these don't really fir the atmosphere of the settlements, also, they would be really out of place against the note block music.

 

I think you can add custom sounds but the thing is, I think you have to replace Noteblock sounds or music discs sound with the custom ones and that limits things like having a certain amount of somgs

 

To be completely fair I just listened to all of these and they're not half bad. I probably don't like them as much as the instrumental Wynncraft versions but they're ok

No, because you can add custom sound events by specifying them in the sounds.json file in the resource pack. For example, if you want "/playsound wynnorchestra.ragni music however-you-specify-the-player" to play the "ragniorchestra.ogg" sound file in the resource pack, you would add "{"wynnorchestra.ragni":{"category":"music","sounds":["ragniorchestra"]}}" (more or less, not sure if I got the syntax right; you can remove the category parameter if you're playing in 1.10+) to sounds.json .

If Wynncraft had used the proposed custom music from the beginning and the examples in this post were of note block music, you would probably say the custom music fits fine and the note blocks "don't really fit the atmosphere of the region."

 

As previously mentioned, we already have noteblock music.

As for how Wynncraft could add non-noteblock full music tracks, I believe a separate resourcepack download would be possible.

I make music and I'm working on a Roots of Corruption orchestral cover right now, I feel you but it's horrifyingly hard to add orchestralized music in a non-modded server. There's simply no way it will happen
