I found that I can break flower pots, and I wondered, Hey. They should make a quest for breaking flower pots. I mean, they're fairly common, so why not?

Could you please give more detail as to what you think the quest should be? There are plenty of mobs, how about a quest on killing mobs? At least Tower of Ascension gives a bit of reason as to why you're killing mobs and which ones to kill, saying that many great adventurers go there to train and to kill the mobs and each floor including a boss, but just going through a bunch of rooms breaking pots wouldn't quite work. Simply needing to go through all the provinces breaking any and every existing flower pot may not be the best of ideas either, as many of the pots you would need to find are hidden to the point that they may as well be secret discoveries. If the quest were to take this form, it would be less commonly completed than ???. The best suggestion I can make to base the idea off of is if someone at a flower shop asks you to get a bunch of rare flowers for them, so you need to go to different cities to break a few different specific flower pots to get the flowers they have. I'm not sure this would even quite work as a quest. It may need to be more similar to the broken clocks of Gavel. A quest based around breaking pots may seem interesting the first time you get the idea, but if you think further, many problems arise with how it would work. Sorry for the long reply.

I really think this woudnt work in any given situation, though thats a matter of opinion of course. If you want people to support your idea, i suggest that in future you think about your own idea from an audience's perspective: Does it have enough detail? Does it make sense? Would it actually be interesting?

At first it may seem that this idea could work better as a daily objective, but most daily objectives encourage you to do something that adds more to your experience (killing mobs for combat experience, opening chests for better gear, crafting and gathering for profession experience, ect.). While breaking pots does give you a few emeralds, just about every other daily objective already does that on the side. I don't think that the game telling newer players to break flower pots will encourage them to some back consistently. There are a few quests that have you do odder or seemingly more pointless thing though, so this idea would likely fit better as a proper quest.
