Stats Page Doesn't Work With New Usernames

I played Wynncraft back in 2014 under the stupid name 'Got_Lobsters'. Now that I am much older and wiser, I have changed my username to Cowboy_lobster' which is a vastly superior name. However, wynn I want to search for my accounts stats on the homepage I have to search for it under my old stupid 'Got_Lobsters' username as wynn I enter my new username nothing comes up.

On the outside this is not a problem, however, players may be confused wynn they search for their stats with their new username and the site comes back with no results. Also the server's announcements send the link to the stats page with the most recent username and not the username that the account is actually linked too.

I recommend updating players stat pages to be under the most recent name on their Minecraft account so that players can actually find their stats wynn typing their username in the search bar. If this for some reason can not be done, at least fix the announcement from the server that gives a false link to those with new usernames.

Also, bit of an afterthought, looking up friends stats can be almost impossible if they have a new username.

 

Are you sure that's not a bug? My friend RodneyTheThird changed his username to zibble06 and he only shows up in the stats page as zibble06. It works fine for him.

Also, if this happens to your friends too, use NameMC to find their account history and their old username

 

I'm pretty sure this isn't a bug. The stats page updates itself, so you might just have to wait a little bit before the website recognizes your new username. As a side note, this should've been posted as a bug report (despite it not being a bug, but most bug reports aren't real bugs), not as a suggestion. I'm glad that you're coming back to the community though!

 

Heard from someone that name changes can take like half a year before they update on the stat pages. The wynncraft stat pages are very inconsistent and unreliable, they go down very often as well.

 

I think the stats pages don't work sometimes, also I wholeheartedly agree Cowboy_lobster is a vastly superior name!
