When identifying which resource the player is attempting to harvest, the game should initially ignore all resources that are at too high of a level for the player's gathering level and only choose from the resources that are possible for the player's level.

There are some areas where resources of different gathering levels are in close proximity to each other, and the player might only be able to harvest some (e.g., being gathering level 48 in an area with both level 40 and level 50 resources). When the player tries to harvest a resource, the game will not consider whether or not the player has a high enough gathering level to harvest it when deciding which resource the player is attempting to harvest. It currently doesn't matter if the player is too low (e.g., 35), high enough for both (e.g., 53), or in the middle (e.g., 48), but it should. When identifying which resource the player is attempting to harvest, the game should initially ignore all resources that are at too high of a level for the player's gathering level and only choose from the resources that are possible for the player's gathering level (e.g., it should only choose from the level 40 [or 30] resources and ignore the level 50 [or 60] resources). If there are none in range, (e.g., only level 50+ resources) , or there are only possible resources in range (e.g., only level 40- resources), then it would function the way it always does.

Might be too dynamic and could cause lag... I'll look into this more tomorrow and see if I have a better reply.

My simple and uninformed mind says that it just requires one pass for only the possible resources, and then a second pass that includes everything if the first pass fails to find anything--and that the second pass is what the game currently does.
