hello guys, i have a question! how can i get a tier 2 horse?

 

buy another brown horse and put them both in the crafting menu to possibly get a better horse
20% chance to get a better horse(tier 2)
30% to downgrade(in this case its already lowest tier, tier 1)
50% to stay the same(tier 1)

 

you can also buy off the market which can be cheaper based on how lucky you are


and if Salted stops breaking the market

 

Horses have a 70% of failing when breeding (getting you either the same or a lower tier as when you started). This means that on average, you'll spend more breeding a horse than the same horse would cost on the player market (don't even ask me how that's sustainable or sensible).

 

Pretty sure it's 80% chance of failure. (50% the same, 30% downgrade)
And horse prices have gone up quite a bit recently so it is quite sustainable.

E.g. I made a black horse using 6 brown horses (that is normal), which cost 2 le and 16 eb. Selling prices are about 2 le 32.
And if it took me 6 black to make a chestnut then it would cost me 13 le 32 eb. Because of more risk factors the average price of a 1/30 chestnut is 15-16 le.

And you can recycle downgraded horses so...
I guess you need to be quite rich to get good money out of it but I recommend making your own horses, as it is usually cheaper.

You're right, it is 80. And black horses cost around market value. However, at higher levels, like white horses, the average cost of breeding is higher than the price on the market. White horses should cost a whopping ~40-50% more on average.

I looked at this thread and I agree with the math. But I've checked the white horse prices and they are going up.
Yes some are 1.5stx but rarely. I believe most white horses are getting sold at 2stx which is 10 le over average white horse price breeding price.

 

I haven't seen one over 90 in a long time, but I haven't been on in a while.

 

Actually, now that I look closer, its the 40/40 over 2 stx. My bad

Edit: I looked into it and there used to be VIP town where black horse where sold for 1 le.

With this price, white horses could be made for the prices on the stock market.
