Hi! I thought up an idea for a fun quest, which would be an homage to Dungeons and Dragons, the original RPG. I'm going to be talking quite a lot about this idea, so if you'd like a general sense but not anything super in-depth, just skip to the last paragraph.

The idea would be to have a fairly high-level quest, somewhere between 90-100(after the PC accesses Rodoroc) that centers around a questline featuring the Doguns. As for the full story, I'd prefer to leave that to those more qualified than I, but I suggest that it would revolve around some sort of dragon-related dungeon, perhaps involving some sort of lich/beholder or other famous D&D monster as the boss. It could feature an NPC named Gygax, after one of the creators of D&D, Gary Gygax and could possibly have a narrator throughout the adventure as a sort of stand-in for the Dungeon Master, who would drop hints as to the solutions for puzzles, get everything wrong, or just be a companion. This would function as sort of a side quest between the main storyline of Dwarves/Doguns, and wouldn't have to intersect with the plot of the main quests either.

This type of quest would, in my opinion, be a very good thing to have in Wynncraft. Dungeons and Dragons has had a big influence on RPGs in general and especially fantasy-based ones such as Wynncraft, creating such archetypes as the ranger, wizard, and rogue that we pick as characters. Plus, I just think a D&D homage would be a really fun thing to have. On a more play-based level, having a side quest in the Rodoroc area would allow the player to bridge the gap between two parts of the Dwarves and Doguns questline without having to leave the area to do another quest, and would incentivize the player to spend more time in a really unique part of Wynncraft.

As for the feasibility of making the quest, it wouldn't be all that difficult in comparison to some of the other impressive accomplishments of the builders of this server. It would likely involve another dungeon, which the team on this server has clearly some their expertise in building and a few NPCs. The only unique element that I foresee becoming difficult could be the integration of a narrator-like Dungeon Master, but parts of dialogue could be tied to entering certain areas of the dungeon/quest or the idea dropped altogether, so I don't believe that making the quest would be too onerous. On a lore-based level, the idea of uncovering ancient dungeons such an old Dogun temple, wouldn't interfere with any other questlines, would help the player to visualize the mining economy of the cities, and could even function as an interesting way of showing that the dwarven campaign of propaganda is based on fact, considering that there would be many abominations found inside the dungeon's depths.

I believe that this idea would fit into Wynncraft like a glove, for all the previous reasons of similarity discussed and because quite simply, Dungeons and Dragons uses a type of fantasy that meshes well with Wynncraft.

In sum total, I would love to see a question honoring Dungeons and Dragons set in the Rodoroc area. It would center around an unearthed Dogun temple somewhere in the underground area, and would contain many homage to Dungeons and Dragons, such as a central NPC being named after a creator of the game or a person standing outside of the dungeon calling themselves Master of the Dungeon, similar to the Dungeon Master which leads each game of D&D. It would not have to be a massive quest or and wouldn't be too difficult to make, but I feel it would add a really fun side element to Wynncraft. If you agree, please say so in the poll. Thank you!
