Hi, it's been a few months since I was last active but I'm back with more terrible ideas. Maybe this one will actually be well thought out and good, but I can guarantee there will be at least something that I didn't think about correctly

Since Fruma is presumed to be the next area the CT are building (I actually haven't been on for a while so I'm sot sure if that's true or not, maybe while I was gone a different new area has been announced so correct me if i'm wrong), I thought I'd give some suggestions/ predictions on what's to come. However I feel like it might take a year or two to build Fruma so I'm not rushing the CT on this at all.

I have a few ideas for questlines:
Might of the monarchy (3 quests, first gives access to fruma and is level 120 as the level cap will likely increase)
The power of corruption (6 quests, requires completion of ??? and Wynnexcavation site D,the first is level 129 and the story is about the relation of the crystals and the meteors and is started by Sohso)
Rune of control (2 quests, takes place in Fruma castle and gives access to the Az rune, an unused rune in the texture files and will likely be related to corrupted dungeons again)

Some of these areas are based on places from recover the past
Silversteel town (Is the place where we see people being abducted and placed in the army)
Fruma castle (Is the location of many interesting bosses and offers a similar challenge to the tower of ascension and the hive, with the difference of all the enemies being very powerful and the progression is more like legendary island as most of the rooms are new bosses, the final boss is the Queen of Fruma)
The arsenal (It's a hidden wall behind the mountains that is aiming at Corkus and is part of a quest where you need to stop the fruman soldiers from destroying the island)
Forest of power (Full of evil faries, is the forest of this province)
The worry of fruma (Is a mysterious area of corruption and is part of a quest where you discover that the queen is evil)
Goldenshine town (Is the province capital and is right outside the castle)

New elements. Dragon, fairy and metal. These are because of the medieval theme of Fruma. Metal would be very effective against dragon as if it were a sword slaying a dragon and healed by earth attacks while dragon would be effective against fairy and healed by fire attacks and fairy would be powerful against metal and buffed by electric.

A new feature, and a new post. Around the map there would be posts that give you a daily mini quest for some extra items or exp.

This is very obvious, but netherite. If we decide to rewrite the code for the game for post-1.12 content we can get armor better that diamond. Instead of being netherite we'll pretend it's Dernic. This would take an incredible amount of work to make though, and it's looking like the server will remain 1.12.

Although we technically have these already, there should be special grind spots that allow you to summon a boss with enough mob drops and the boss can be fought by the player once a day and gives a lot of exp

This features the evil queen, new lore about ??? and wynnexcavation's relation and new lore about fruman soldiers and corkus.

Feel free to give suggestions or criticisms.

Surprised at the hate in the poll tbh, it's not a bad suggestion but not the best. I quite like the "might of the monarchy" questline name, sneaking in some cheeky alliteration lol. I don't think having the player complete ??? would be fair though for the other SIX quests.

New elements wouldn't really be need imo, as it sounds quite specialist if it's used for only a few mobs.

Netherite could work for sure, despite what anyone says.

Evil Queen lore would be nice, probably best to fix the mess that is the current "lore" first though lol.

I'm honestly tired of seeing people suggest netherite. It's highly unlikely that Wynn will even update to 1.14.4 in the next few years, much less a later version. It's not going to work and shows a clear lack of understanding.

If grind bosses had cool rare drops to differentiate them from boss altars, that would be a pretty cool idea!

I don't dislike your post, but a lot of this feels... a bit pointless.

while the poll option doesn't really describe what I think (the ideas aren't outright terrible and they're definitely thought out a bit) I just think this stuff wouldn't be all that exciting to get in the Fruma update.

for the questlines, I believe the CT already has a basic idea for things like these, being major lore. none of the ideas are what you wouldn't expect to appear eventually, at least if not in Fruma.

as for landmarks and new lore, they're also very obviously going to exist in Fruma, as that's kind of what's been talked about for awhile now. perhaps the CT has some twists in mind, like the queen is not evil, or fruma doesn't even exist. in my opinion, it would be better to think of things for Fruma that might not already be planned; I had thought it'd be cool for there to be a ruined jungle in the south of Fruma, for example.

new elements are something that I never expect to see, and don't want to see unless thoroughly thought out. as of right now, new elements would require loads of reworks to certain mechanics like skillpoints and enemy design, and also create TONS of new archetypes that would all need hive armor equivalents, entire sets of items to work with them, and possibly reworks to a load of existing items and ingredients.

finally quest posts and grind bosses, these just feel like unnecessary mechanics to me. there is already a daily miniquest that exists, and there are miniquest posts that exist, I feel as if quest posts would just be some unnecessary clutter. as for grind bosses, they technically already exist in boss altars as has been said, and I would also like to add on to that: designing well made bosses just for the sake of grinding is a waste of time and effort in my opinion; that time could've been spent making a normal boss altar which would accomplish the same goal, or perhaps improving on existing bosses which right now need some serious work done.

it does sound like something they'd use for a fruma questline
I did actually say that it was unlikely they'd update to 1.14, also seeing as I haven't been active here since a while before netherite was introduced I didn't actually know how heavily requested netherite was
True, but it's against the rules to grind off boss minions for some reason. I don't know if boss altar minions count though. The idea of grind bosses is that you're allowed to grind their minions, but the boss makes it a challenge and fun at the same time

I mean most grind spots have a "boss", just a much stronger enemy with lots more hp and gives a lot of xp and spawns pretty slowly

    Regarding the quests:

The pattern which we have seen over the past few years is that with a new area (Corkus, SE (even adding to molten heights)) we get about 4/5 quests.

Fruma is intended for mid-game (presumably- based on the level of the guards and the lack of quests around 55-60 when compared to other levels). I believe that the most likely quest setup for Fruma will be 2 or 3 quests starting at level 56 going up to 60 as well as a couple of higher level quests (I'm guessing that Fruma will have a high level area as each update tries to add something to the endgame and there's always a new endgame challenge (ToA, Hive, LI, EO).

It seems likely that Fruma will be mainly mid-game content (with a few quests) with an area of high level content (103+) (also with a couple of quests as well as a new endgame challenge).

As for what the quests will entail... I think we can guarantee that the monarchy will definitely be a feature of 1 or more quests. The rest is less clear.

Ultimately, I don't believe that the next update will be Fruma as it would require an insane amount of building and content to be added to a large area.

Final thought: If the next update continues the theme of increasing the level cap by 2 or 3 levels (107/108), then Fruma might well have the level cap at 110/111. I really don't think it'll reach 120 (But I'm happy to be proved wrong :D ).

I actually think they're only level 60 because of the fact that most minor islands in the ocean area have mobs that are level 60 (Tree island, regular island, etc) and they might be raised in level later on down the line. I feel that fruma will surely have areas stronger than Corkus because Corkus is presented as weak compared to the Fruman monarchy and their power

Yeah, I think the next updates are going to be new features and quests rather than a huge new area. I think they'll slowly work on it over time

I would be so very overjoyed if my grandchildren live to see Wynncraft update to 1.16. I think that adding netherite gear is likely out of the question for a very long while.

I also would tend to agree with other comments; adding more elements would definitely require a large rework of... pretty much everything actually. While it might be fun to add more depth to combat, and maybe even new effects or identifications, new elements would be a huge issue unless they spent a lot of time thinking it out. Remembering how long it took to make the current system, and how it still needs work in some areas, I think that adding new elements would be a pretty bad idea at the moment.

I also would expect the level cap to not raise significantly, as it would both ruin the balance of most endgame challenges and would require a lot more content. Remember that it takes much longer to level up at high levels, so they would either need a lot of quests, or a handful that give an insane amount of xp in order to not force people to grind absurd lengths of time (pre-Gavel 55+) to get there. Alternatively they could add another way to get xp, but I can almost guarantee they won't because unless it's locked behind something equally challenging, it'll be abused.

I don't think they're going to bump the level cap unless it's in an update for high level content. That being said, I still think Fruma could be a high level area for a couple reasons; we still don't know what state Fruma is actually in. The quest there was in the past, but in the current time Fruma could be over run with high level mobs and be in ruins and two, they're probably done adding low level areas since there's enough of them as is, especially at level 60 since we already have Geliboard and Dernal.

I also really, really hope the endgame challenge for Fruma isn't another combat gauntlet like LI, Qira or ToA. It would be really great if the final challenge was a parkour gauntlet, though I'm still holding out for Dern's final challenge to be a parkour based so I guess we'll see.

I think the idea is to have a replenishable quest source of XP and raw emeralds, which is something I think we actually need, just not in the way he's suggesting it.
