A language (not a cipher) in which you can write the location names and such would really improve the lore of wynncraft, I could make it myself (im not a "professional conlager" but I can create a not very complex language).

I could start to create it right now, I just need some basic info to start working.

I do agree, a fully fledged language with rules and stuff would be really cool. But, holy shit, would that be annoying to translate for people like me who don't understand language.

would there be one for gavel? corkus? fruma? dern? each individual region because of dialects?

honestly i think its too much effort when they could be doing better things like fixing fucking ice barrows

As you see I'm not very good at naming.
This will be complemented with other smaller lenguages such as "Bremminglarish" and "Elvish"(we can use Tolkien's).

    PD: Its just a sketch.

i mean, sure, but i doubt that gavellian is descended from fruma.

according to lore elves were here like thousands of years before any one else, why is that not alpha language? what about differences in villager vs. elf vs. dwarf vs. dogun languages? why are the desert languages separated from ancient wynnic? was the empire there before the other parts of wynn (i honestly have no idea im not lore man)? why are ice island languages not from oversea languages? why are there no gavel individual groups? why is rymek classified as indigenous, yet still descends from fruman? why is rymek not related to almuj?

based on this tree (assuming "Proto-Frumo-Almujian" is a superfamily), rymek and almuj would be about as different as Finnish and Italian.

why is corkish descended from selchar/nemract, even though the corkians were another refugee group from fruma, with little interaction with wynn?

    too many questions

"based on this tree (assuming "Proto-Frumo-Almujian" is a superfamily), rymek and almuj would be about as different as Finnish and Italian"
Yes its a superfamily and it will be as Finnish and Swedish or Hungarian and Romanian.

"why are ice island languages not from oversea languages?"
    Colonized during different waves.

"why is corkish descended from selchar/nemract, even though the corkians were another refugee group from fruma, with little interaction with wynn?"
    Sorry my mistake

"why is rymek classified as indigenous, yet still descends from fruman? why is rymek not related to almuj?"
By indigenous I mean its the language of the eagle and owl tribes, its not related to almuj the same way Hungarian is not related to Romanian or Polish, the dialectal continuum was broked because invasions and migrations.

"i mean, sure, but i doubt that gavellian is descended from fruma."
According to the wynncraft wiki all humans come from Fruma.

"according to lore elves were here like thousands of years before any one else, why is that not alpha language? what about differences in villager vs. elf vs. dwarf vs. dogun languages? "
They have language families of their own.

    Hmmmm,
¿Maybe Dernic is in the same family as Almujian?

    fair enough
    mmk
i assumed rymek was the dialect/language of the city, not the surrounding tribes
i would think that tribes would speak different languages than the cities that they have little/no interaction with, like iboju. speaking of iboju, where are they and troms?
gavel isn't humans. the only human gavel town is eltom, so i could understand descending eltomian from the same superfamily, but the other major species in gavel are villagers, elves, and dwarves, which would each likely have their own superfamily
so why aren't they part of this thread? still important characters in the game

Sorry if i dont explain myself well, i speak english with difficulties but this is not ment to be deffinitive, my idea was to contact with the Dev.s so they tell me how to make conlangs without them being contradictory with the present and future lore.

Why? The Wynnic cipher is enough already, I don't want to be forced to learn 20 languages so I can understand the name of a province
