I find it annoying how sometimes when I die in say Lutho, I respawn in Lusuco. Or when I die sometimes near ahmsord I’ll respawn in Maex instead. So I have a new idea on how to fix this and respawn in the correct place.

    Hospitals

Each place that you can respawn in will have a hospital that takes care of wounded soldiers (for the lore Ofc.) and each time you visit one, you can mark it on a list of areas to respawn when you “die”.

After you die, instead of instantly being spawned to the closest city, which can sometimes be actually further away from your desired destination than you want (i.e dying while protecting Aledar in the cart and spawning in lusuco or nesaak), you will instead be given the THREE CLOSEST HOSPITALS that you’ve marked, and you can choose which one to go to. So instead, of you die while protecting Aledar, you will get a list that probably says

    “choose where to go”
    Lusuco
    Nesaak
    Lutho

And you can choose where you desire to go and make it much quicker :)

but that wouldn't be abusable as someone could just teleport from town to town by using killing themselves?

Great suggestion, this is something I've hated too. Can you make a poll so we can get a vote going?

At first I thought this was going to be stupid, but this is actually a good idea. I support this.

What if instead of adding a whole new system that will probably use the same broken code, they fix the code that makes you respawn at lusuco/maex when you should respawn to the place nearest to you

Some of the quest area maps are closer to Lusuco/Maex so they cant fix that.

    Bump

Also, about that one comment about why you’d go to a hospital when you die. You never really “die” in Wynn you more so just get KO’ed and respawn in a town as if someone rescued you.

It's a nice idea but doesn't this go against everything Beyond the Grave tells us? That you have an encounter with Death, defeat the thing that killed you and he revives you or something?
But yeah the respawn thing does need some fixing.

I like the idea of giving the player the choice of where to respawn, but I don't like the idea of adding another building to every single town and more NPCs for the hospitals everywhere.

How about giving you to choose between the 2 closest cities, and the last city you've been to?
The closest towns are the most relevant while exploring, and the last city is relevant while questing (in offmap areas).

Btw if the last city you visited is also one of the closest, you either get 2 options only, get the 3rd closest city as an option, or get the 2nd last city you visited... or something similar to those.
