Hey everyone, I've been thinking about this suggestion for quite some time now and I want to share it with you guys.

So, crafting was introduced in the 1.18 Economy Update, while you're crafting an item, you can add optional ingredients to the crafting recipes to add identifications to the crafted item, however, once you craft an item, you can't add any ingredients afterwards. As most of you might know, you can find normal items (not identified items) like an Oak Dagger or an Aged Golden Helmet while exploring, I was thinking we could change these items to be crafted items, we could make it so if you found one of these and you like the attack speed of it, you can add ingredients to add identifications to it.

Now for this to be useful, it should have benefits and negatives, so that it doesn't make real crafting useless.

I think that wild-found crafted weapons should have 75% more durability than an average crafted weapon (crafted using the same resources as the name, for example Birch crafted weapons have about 120 durability (i think), but a wild-found crafted Birch weapon would have 210 durability), but it would only have 4 ingredient spots.

Another benefit of having these items is that you don't have to go out and gather resources to craft a weapon and stuff. Also, I forgot to mention, to add an ingredient to an item the items level minimum requirement has to be either equal to or higher than the crafting ingredient's level requirement, and the items crafting table level should also be equal or higher than both requirements. You can not added ingredients to damaged weapons unless they are fully repaired.

So what do you think of my suggestion? My English isn't perfect but I hope you understood what I said.

It would require some balancing, as the durability boost seems a little high (I'd make it lower than regular crafted), but overall I like it. It would mean common items have a reason to exist over level 30 while still being weaker than normal crafted items.
