Additional Crafting Materials

On some occasions, you might not like rope on wood for a staff. Sometimes, you want something more. This is what the suggestion is about ; just adding extra main materials for extra bonuses. Like fish oil for bows, perhaps a little bit of oil in food too, a gem to ornate a staff... Just adding extra materials to weapons, armors and/or consumables to make them slightly better.

 

I think this should be called "More Crafitng Recipes" instead of Addition Crafting Materials.

I think it's a good idea but you should go more in-depth on what adding a gem to your staff or pushing a bit of fish oil in your food does, does it increase certain types or damage? Or decrease costs of spells? Would the food last longer but have less effects overall or the opposite?

I don't necessarily think that adding more materials to them should just make them better because the professions is already enough about grinding, instead I think these recipes should be hidden and players have to experiment to find them out allowing for failure (The original recipes currently in the game would still be added and displayed)

 

Maybe fish oil on bows could increase the attack speed

 

I don't know what adding ingredients to certain items would do exactly, but it could be something like gem + staff = neutral damage turned into elemental damage closest to the gem's color
