World Pvp Arena

    I have been thinking a lot about how Hunted mode will affect everyone in Wynncraft... in short I absolutely love the idea of killing players for items. I also don't believe pvp is that unbalanced (here's a hint, think healing potions/scrolls/food) and has the potential to be incredibly enjoyable if a few things are balanced properly. On the topic of being rewarded for pvp however, I thought it would be neat to have an "arena" where players can duel each other with an enforced ruleset, and possibly betting items against each other. This would add additional purpose to the game, as getting better gear would allow you to perform better in these matches.

    Below is a possibility of how it could be implemented.

    It would be located in a major city, such as Detlas or Troms. The lore behind it is that soldiers, often drunk, come here to let off steam by putting their pride and pockets on the line in fights. Perhaps a related quest where you fight increasingly tough soldiers? However the main function of the area is to allow special duels where you can battle other players. To encourage use of this area, and to make it not be a complete waste of time, once every 24 hours the first few wins will provide the player with loot (similar amount to what's found in a t1 chest).

    In these duels players can bet items and the winner would receive all of them. If one player disconnects before being hit the items are returned, otherwise the disconnecting player could be disqualified, perhaps after a set period of time. Players could also set rules for what is allowed during these duels. Don't want tryhards with mythics to obliterate you? Think spamming healing items is cheap? Don't want players to use skill pots/other consumables? This can be arranged, and both players have to agree to the rules before the duel starts.

    The duels themselves would take place in an arena far outside the map, allowing for players on slower computers the best chance to have a fair fight and minimize distractions. These arenas could be visited from the main lobbies, allowing players to spectate. Once a duel is accepted, it is reserved and any player can see where the duel is happening, and after 20-30 seconds it will begin. When it ends, the winner receives the reward and the arena is queued for use again.

    Rage gma and archer in general is a big exception, mainly because its main damage spell is spammy, arbitrarily ranged, and does lots of damage in one hit. Mages may be an issue in this respect too but ele defs can keep them back better. Although I can't see how it would one-shot full tank Guardian. Guardian was one of those things I thought would be good bc its nigh unkillable through its pure defensive power and hpr. Builds without any sort of defensive sp or ele def would fare worst in this environment and it would probably be a prerequisite to have some.

    It depends on the base damage of the item, the higher the base damage the easier it is to ignore element defense.

    Exactly. Wands have lower damage than other items, although it varies case to case. Singu and Gaia could be big issues in this respect though, esp how they have high damage even without considering their speed.

    I really like this idea. I just think pvp needs to balanced first and it opens up a whole world of possibilities related to pvp.

    I am really for this idea, with the implementation of Hunted Mode added, this adds two kinds of PvP. More serious and competitive PvP, and less competitive and more friendly PvP. Still don't know what the Nether will be though.
