Forum Ratings?

so um this was inspired by another forum obviously

Currently, the only way to show that you like a post is to obviously use the like button. But what if you could express a wide variety of opinions about a post, such as if you agree with the post, you think it's funny, you think it's helpful, etc.

These "opinions" can be expressed with ratings, which are icons that take place at the bottom of the post. I can't really explain ratings any further (bc i is dumb idot) but apparently XenForo (the forums template that Wynncraft uses) includes ratings too, so it wouldn't be too hard to implement ratings.

Some possible ratings:
Like (the usual like)
Agree (to show that you agree with a post)
Helpful (if a post is helpful)
Funny (if a post is funny)
Salted-Happy (the super op rating that can only be used by Salted)

The number of ratings accumulated would take the place of Likes Received (previous likes would obviously be part of the ratings number), and each rating received would be shown in a chart in profile pages.

well, ok, we can just make that ratings/message ratio :)

 

If you care about it so much then just go back and delete any message that didn't get a like...

 

I don't but this thread does:
The thread's suggestion implies I will be a lower 'rated' member because I make more posts that don't get ratings.
It's just replacing the like/message ratio with a more complicated system. I don't see a benefit.
