General New Challanges

    I'm talking about the things you choose for a new character (hardcore, ironman and crafter)

    I'd like to expand these by a few! Here are some ideas.

    First of all, many of these could be extensions of the iron man challange.
    • Semi Iron-man - no trading with others, but does have a separate bank
    • Anti Gambler - no rerolling item stats allowed
    • Unlucky - item stat numbers tend to be on the lower end
    • Clumsy - adding powders has a chance to destroy the item
    • Variations to the hardcore mode, different amounts of dropped/broken items on death
    • Outlaw - any1 can pvp you at any time but you are allowed to kill them back after people attack you enough times.
    That's about as many i can think of for now. I feel some shouldn't be too hard to add.

    Outlaw would be too luck prone. If you're walking around Detlas and a random level 100 casts a spell you'll just get oneshot, even someone that's only 20 levels above you should oneshot; whether it be on purpose or by accident. This would mean you couldn't be close to any other player in the fear they may cast a spell and intentionally/accidentally kill you.

    Yeah i'm not very fond of that idea either, but i think it could be modified into an acceptable version.

    I think you should try current challenges first and experience how it feels like doing challenges

    I did, i tried iron man to see if i can use the bank, i quit cus i couldn't. I don't need to play it to know i don't like it, and not even having a private bank is not something i'd want to ever play. I just wanted a mode where trading was disabled.

    If i was happy with the current challanges then i wouldn't really have much of a motivation to suggest new ones would i?
    I also don't really understand your reasoning, do you think people not know whether they like playing permadeath or not?

    I also thought of a new challange, something that makes it so legendaries/mythics can't drop outside dungeons. I remember back when i played, i was farming semi afk on a moutain spamming meteor. Anything that prevents that would be nice.

    this is just way too many challenges, the current ones exist to compliment eachother but also be their own thing without others (i.e craftsman and ironman making it so you must craft items yourself, or ironman and hardcore making it so death has a much bigger penalty due to losing basically all your posessions). this would just add a ton of useless challenges that only really change 1 variable in your game, but don't really challenge the player in any way significantly (aside for maybe outlaw)

    I feel like Outlaw mode should be changed so that Outlaw players are like normal mode players, but outlaws lose 1 soul point if they lose a duel, although doing /kill during a duel won’t cause them to lose any soul points

    Another variant of Outlaw could be that Outlaw players take greatly reduced damage from other players’ attacks; and when a player is killed by another player, the attacker receives a 30 minute cooldown before they can kill other players, and the victim also receives a 30 minute cooldown before they can be killed by other players

    Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they are useless. In my opinion each challange should have 1 thing.

    The current ironman can be said to have 2 things, disables player trading and disables your bank. (i know they did this because the bank is account wide so you could cheat the ironman mode with alts but they should have just made a separate bank for each ironman character)

    So i'd separate it into "cant trade with players" and "no bank". Because i'm pretty many people would gladly do a SSF run as long as they can still use their bank.

    About my challanges, most are things that'd make the game a bit harder, but when combined would make it insanely hard. I mean currently the game is easy mostly because the economy is filled with great gear that people sell for cheap. But without trading, with lower droprate, worse stat rolls, no rerolling etc, you'd often hit a wall where you need to grind gear while leveling i bet. While right now you can just buy an upgrade.

    one of the many problems with these is that they become "attributes" as opposed to "challenges"
