So why does it never rain / snow?
weather would add much to the environment and it aint too difficult to implement such a thing

I'm pretty sure that in Minecraft rain will always appear at all locations, and not in specific ones and can't be made to do so, I believe. So essentially when it would rain, it would rain everywhere at the same time and that's not realistic at all.

Also, you have to remember that biomes are not as consistent in Wynn. For example in the desert, the river and Almuj are in the "jungle" biome, and the main desert in the, well, desert biome. So if it would rain, the player would not have rain in the desert which is great and nice, but when they go to Almuj or pass the river, BAM. Suddenly rain out of nowhere that comes and goes as you pass the river/Almuj. That's really immersion breaking and weird.

Fun fact: There did used to be rain!
    It was removed.

Here's a video of a temporary glitch where it started raining in Wynn, if you're interested.

My guess is that it was removed for a lot of reasons: lag, server wide issues, looking weird in certain biomes... it'd be cool if they put it in a quest or something, though.

This can be fixed by using different blocks for the foliage and grass, but would be really difficult to do.

You could do a very hacky thing by changing worlds (separate from WC worlds) whenever you enter a different zone, which would allow for localised weather. I imagine that would be really demanding on resources though.

If only it were possible though... Imagine if Minecraft added more weather events, localised weather events, sandstorms in the desert, hailstorms, snow and rain being separate, very cloudy weather, windy weather... typhoons... if only...

I can see it being a problem, though if it was possible to solve this, realistic weather would improve the immersion greatly.

If they could make it fit to bioms and have no lag I would be 100% up for this, but I don't think it's possible yet :(

    Those are fireworks....
Wynncraft tries to avoid making separate worlds (because of the dirt loading screen when switching between worlds), that’s why all quest areas are simply far away from the rest of the world but still in the same world.
