    So, here's the suggestion;

    When you aren't on the forums, but you have alerts and the tab is open, there should be a little icon like that of Discord showing how many alerts you have. Nothing big, just something useful. I've made some concepts, it might look something like this:

    Some people might not want it or want to turn it off to focus doing stuff, speaking from a procrastinator.

    Hmm, from my knowledge of web development, it might be more practical and possible to just have a little circle to show that you have at least one alert, rather than changing the icon depending on how many you have (which is hard and almost impossible). Or if you really wanted to have the exact number, it would be much easier to just have this:
