I said perhaps, not that it definitely would, I stopped playing after "mastering" (a very generous term idk) all the four classes. It just became boring and repetitive after that, idrc about how difficult it would be to play as a shieldbearer but at least it would add something new that I would likely enjoy. So in fact, a shield could perhaps change my mind. Though I do get where you're comming from maybe don't assume what will and will not work for someone you know barely if at all...

I approve of this sugestion for the full 100%. If there is gonna be a new class it has got to be this one.

 

Finally a good update, almost as good as removing wars.

I approve this idea but it should be made so a shield of each element has different spells than the other elemental shields, for example:

Air Element Shields
RLR - Air Shield: Projects a shield 2 blocks away from the player on the direction of the cursor that lasts for 5 seconds, can withstand any hit.
RRR - Rope Shield: Shoots a rope in the direction the cursor is pointing at and allows you to climb or go faster depending on where you shoot it (you can even become spooderman if you want).
RLL - IDK yet
RRL - IDK yet

Fire Element Shields
RLR - IDK yet
RRR - IDK yet
RLL - Rage Shield: Boosts the attack and defense power of the user for 4 minutes and curses any entity that hits the player for 4 minutes giving the entity burning damage for 2 minutes.
RRL - Sacrise Shield: Player looses 3/4 of total hp when this spell is casted, summons a huge metallic worm that comes out of the ground in a straight line upwards, dealing great amounts of damage to every entity that is hit by it. dps will vary on how much hp was taken from the user, damage calculation formula: (hp taken)*5= damage dealt. Ex: 7k hp lost = 35k damage dealt, 10k hp lost = 50k damage dealt.

Earth Element Shields
RLR - Poison Shield: this spell lasts 30 secs, deals poison damage to any entity that hits the player, the poison damage can increase depending on the amount of poison the user has, ex. 100/4s poison damage stat on player will increase the poison damage inflicted by 100. the poison varies on the upgrade the spell has, main stage: 8/4s, 1st upgrade: 30/4s, 2nd upgrade: 80/4s, last upgrade: 300/4s.
RRR - IDK yet
RLL - Shield Prison: Traps an entity or multiple entities that the cursor is pointing at for 15 seconds.
RRL - Iron Maiden: This spell can only be used when Shield Prison is active, when casted, it transforms the Shield Prison into an Iron Maiden which damages the entity inside of it constantly, this spell lasts 30 seconds.

Thunder Element Shields
RLR - IDK yet
RRR - IDK yet
RLL - IDK yet
RRL - IDK yet

Water Element Shields
RLR - IDK yet
RRR - IDK yet
RLL - IDK yet

Neutral Shields
RLR - This spell slot depends on what is the first powder applied to the shield, ex: if Earth was applied first it would get the RLR spell from Earth Shields.
RRR- This spell slot depends on what is the second powder applied to the shield, ex: if Earth was applied second it would get the RRR spell from Earth Shields.
RLL - This spell slot depends on what is the third powder applied to the shield, ex: if Earth was applied third it would get the RLL spell from Earth Shields.
RRL - This spell slot depends on what is the fourth powder applied to the shield, ex: if Earth was applied fourth it would get the RRL spell from Earth Shields

 

I hate the shield hero anime -1 Konosuba is better.
This is a joke, i just hate how the author makes some of the characters "To be hated".

Edit: After searching the light novel of the shield hero and spoiling the whole story my opinion changed a little bit from good to pretty nice/good.
My only problem is how my cousin said that Konosuba isn't funny and that the shield hero is far far better. This really triggered me, so i didn't watch it... instead, i will read the light novel and spoil him the story muhahahaha!! Never anger a light novel reader!! Hahahaha!!!

 

Only thing i don't like is the name, i won't be able to take a class seriously called shield. Otherwise i do actually like the idea and would probably use it, also it triggers me that we have 5 class slots and 4 classes so any good class i would gladly use.

 

A more defensive character would be awesome.
Its my personal play style. Typically id associate the classes with their respected element and at the moment there really isnt a class for fire. Sure warrior is the closest one but when i think warrior i think strength.
I 100% support this.
