The Most Controversial Suggestion Ever

Honestly getting kind of tired of reading these types of comments. Instead of being rude and trying to show off by acting like your vocabulary is higher than the average person, maybe explain your position in a manner that doesn’t treat people like they are idiots?

Also no, infinite inventory space is ridiculous. AFK farming abuse, bank pages becoming less relevant, etc. brought up by others (as well as how it makes literally no sense) all outweigh the positives this suggestion adds. Backpacks / increased inventory yes, INFINITELY so, no.

 

Everyone disagrees with my suggestion, that the inventory is endless.
Therefore the suggestion ist sehr controversial

*everyone is in agreement that the suggestion has serious flaws and overall, is bad. Not much controversy here. Controversy doesn't mean the absence of unanimous agreement, it means the presence of divisive disagreement.

 

This isn't right; you can turn any item that can go to the Item Buyer into scrap. Even potions!

 

Anyway, bad meme aside,

So unless the definition of public changed since last time I checked, if everyone but you disagreed with your suggestion (or agreed on your suggestion being bad), it would be a public agreement, therefore not controversial.
Don't assume that your opinion counts as half the public, thank you.

As for your suggestion: it's like the god all backpack threads pray to, it's so incredibly impossible to code, so incredibly redundant, so incredibly vague, so incredibly confusing for new players, it almost has to be a shitpost. Normally this is where I'd tell the suggester to work their idea out more or balance it better, but I don't think you can just say 'infinite storage' and expect the servers ('let me just grab one of my 7000 weapons I've gotten over multiple playthroughs, all with unique stats loaded at roughly the same time'), the code (no explanation required) and the economy (many shops would just stop due to inevitable hoarding, only mythics and grindable ingredients/materials would be sold much) to keep up.

 

I was under the impression that controversial meant an unusual opinion that would cause, like, almost universal disagreement.
I'm not looking at my suggestion through the eyes of a coder, by the way, so I have apsolutely no idea whatsoever who tricky it would be to "code".

I knew that nobody would like it, I didn't look at it from a coding point of view. I looked at it from a point of view of having MORE BLOODY INVENTORY space.
I wouldn't mind having the normal inventory if they didn't have the silly new mining update.

 

If you want a suggestion to be taken seriously, it has to be practical from a gameplay, thematic, coding, and realistic point of view. Unless you were under the impression that it would never be added, I don't understand why you shouldn't look at it from that point of view.
