Website & Forums Kick And Tell Reason For Kick Instead Of Banning When Joining The Server For The First Time.

So i joined the server, or not because i got banned 3 Days, 1s after joining it for : "mod not allowed : World Downloader"
Ok, how i'm suposed to know this? where is the list of mods that we can't use? (both of these are nowhere indicated btw)

so at the end, 2 things to fix :

- Stop banning people without warning
- Adds a REAL list with all mods that aren't allowed

 

Pretty sure it sends warnings multiple times before you get tempbanned. Some mods prevent the message from what I hear.

Anyways, the game is meant to be played 100% mod-free, so just don’t use mods (except possibly shaders)

 

Apparently, that's not the case. The server instant kicked me out instantly the first time i joined with play.wynncraft.com, the ban message appeared with the .net ip

Your talking about minecraft or the server itself is considered as a totally different game cause it's heavily modified? btw i'm using thses mods for building purposes, so why would i need to remove certain mods when others bigger servers allow it?

 

If the only purpose that a mod you're using can have is breaking the server's rules, you can pretty safely say that it'll get you banned if you try to force your way into the server. Also, as mentioned above, the server does warn you about them, and even gives you 5 chances to disabled it. Some mods and versions of forge interfere with the server's ability to display those messages though, at which point it's out of the server's control. Since the server can't know whether you're receiving them correctly or not, it'll still punish you accordingly; You were the one to download and install all of it after all. Still though, the ban is only 3 days, which is a really short period to wait through, and doesn't have any long lasting effect on your account.

The whole point of Wynn is to not require any mods, so they're generally advised against, since they can only break things, give unfair advantages, have severe compatibility issues with servers, or at best, be neutral. Different servers have entirely different gameplay, and therefore also different rules. Regardless of this, I can pretty much guarantee that any big server would ban you if you openly stated that you download their maps, or even have the tools equipped to do so. Meanwhile, Wynn has a system to prevent this that works perfectly fine, and doesn't want to even risk it.

 

The only things i was granted to see on this server is this magnificent java error when connecting with the .com ip, that i don't even remember but, i think i can get the exact java error in my logs

To repeat what happened:
- connect for the first time from France with .com ip and with schématica & world downloader
- the server kick you and ask you to remove shematica.
- you reconnect aftrr removing schematica
- get the java error, so as it's a java error, you try to reconnect, java error again.
- you remove all your mod, and keep optifine
- you try to reconnect, same java error
- you change the ip to the .net one
- See? You get banned.
