So when I have a server reset, I'm usually just plain unlucky and it happens in the most inconvenient times. For example, a server reset in a dungeon boss fight, quest cutscene, while handing an item(s) to npc and then having to get the item(s) again, crafting/trading, etc. And now there is this weird problem where a server will just randomly close without warnings.

    I got a solution ya?

When a server resets, it should only kick the people that are not in a cutscene, trading, boss-fighting, etc. Idk, this might increase the lag by like 1%, but it prevents raging players like me from smashing my computer screen when Redbeard is on 2k health and the server restarts :)

You might ask... Well they give 10-min warnings tho
except one time i joined and the server reset in 10 seconds :(

A server reset is the reset of a server... just use the API and join worlds that aren't about to reset.

I think the problem stems from that players unable to see how much time the server got before restarting. Ingame thats fine because you got the server telling you how much time you got, but in the server selction screen, it isn't shown.

Agreed. This suggestion though doesn't make much sense, since you can't have a server restart without kicking everyone. Simply not starting a boss battle within the 10 minute window would help, or even better simply choosing the newest world when selecting servers will give 2-3 hours before restart.

There should always be a warning, 10 minutes before the restart. If you aren't getting these warnings, define the issue with "randomly close without warning". (Are you using any modpacks? is some of your settings disabled? etc.)
