Аs much as I want the SB back and think that there is literally no reason not to add it back, I think we should stop giving the mods a hard time with the semi-hate comments. I know that they have said no and some might be aggressive, but that’s the job of a mod, isn’t it? I mean, nobody is supposed to follow the rules and guidelines strictly, and to be honest, the mods here actually are more friendly than those on other servers, ie high pickle. While I disagree with some mods and agree with 90% of the community, the mods aren’t the source of the problem, and as Moe previously said, they aren’t the ones who make decisions. And while I agree they’re wrong in looking over all the good useful facts in this thread, we shouldn’t show aggression towards them via memes.

Because there's satisfaction in constantly banging your head against a brick wall until it eventually cracks. Nothing was ever achieved by anyone giving up when times started to look tough. Did Rosa Parks give up her seat when she was asked to? Did Theodore Roosevelt just fall down and die when he was shot whilst campaigning? We will stand and fight for what we want. We're not going to just lay down and give up because the admins don't seem to be listening to us. If they won't listen, we'll make them listen.

Ok, so I went back and looked at my old shoutbox thread (which got locked) and saw that a mod changed all the votes to no there, too

That's just immature. I'm not directly blaming the mod team for that (as they've stated they're not in charge of this/can't re-add the shoutbox), but whoever did that is in a position of power to at least change polls. That position of power is generally granted to members of the community who are seen as able to act mature, and frankly that counts as abuse of that power.

 

i don't think anyone's really blaming the mods for the removal of the shoutbox, but honestly, changing the polls to literally censor the results and silence the voice of the community is just as bad

whoever is doing it deserves to be demoted immediately and excuse my french but they're really just a shitstain
