    So i went on. And found that:
    1. The clocktower was...practically gone. And everything was rearranged. (What did I miss? I was only gone a few months!)
    2. I met a lonely dog. WHo followed me. ANd then a bee joined my parade so i went to the bank with a dog and a bee. ANd then they disappeared....
    ....Me confused.....

    Yeah, 1.18 totally revamped Detlas. If you look at the building diagonally opposite the bank, the hourglass is now there.
    As said above, you should take a look at the update changelog to see a full list of all the cool stuff that was added!

    The entire world has changed! You should definitely start a new class, there are now many neat build revamps and mobs with cool models like that one bee.
