World Death Messages For Nearby Players (>98% Support)

This is a very simple suggestion. Already in the game, you will receive a chat notification when a player nearby levels up. How about similarly, when nearby players or players in your party (maybe guild in guild wars?) die, you will receive a death message? Something like...
(player) was speared by Corrupted Sentinel [Lv. 47]
(player) was shot by Skeleton Archer [Lv. 1]
(player) was gored by Savannah Ocelot [Lv. 27]
(player) was slain by Yahya - The Final Form [Lv. 9001]
(player) went splat on the ground from 500m
(player) was swallowed by the endless darkness


This can also apply to duels
Frozenhunterbear was pierced to death by Salted using [Depressing Dagger]

And as @ItsFreakinHarry said, there should be a toggle command for it, like /toggle deathmessages as people might not want random people's deaths storming the chat

Okay, but i would prefer if it was optional.

 

I wouldn't see why not, perhaps a toggle for it would be a good idea.

Something like:
/toggle deathmessages (all, all-known, party, friends, guild, none)

all = every nearby player regardless of who they are
all-known = combination of party, friends, and guild members that are nearby
party = all party members nearby
friends = all nearby friends
guild = all nearby guildmates
none = none duh

yes but with a toggle this way we could know whether your friend died if you can't really see them in a boss fight or dungeon.

Yeah, I never thought of that, I thought it would be a somewhat useless suggestion :D

 

Example: (player) [Lv. 100] was blown up by Remote Detonation Device [Lv. 130]

 

This would definitely be helpful. It sometimes takes me like half a minute the realize that my buddy died.

 

I love advertising how much I suck at the game to everyone :D
