    Loot chests are insanely unbalanced. Loot chests seem to be placed in random spots, without any meaning. Loot chests should be treated as rewards for players going out of their way to explore the map. You can find loot chests everywhere. They are placed randomly in open fields, in the middle of roads and places where they don't fit the surroundings. The idea of a loot chest should be players getting rewarded for putting in some time and work to do things like exploring hidden parts of a city, fighting through a cave or even just going to the top floor of a house. When players get rewarded for finding something hidden they feel special and get a closer connection to the game and simply just have more fun. Just from going from something like ragni to detlas you pass a dozen chests. When you open the chests you quickly realize no matter what level you are they are a complete waste of time because most of them only have like 1 to 5 emeralds! This makes players just pass them and not even stop to open them. This is also a problem with daily rewards giving players only a couple of emeralds. To balance chests, for one there should be major cuts to T1 chests. Sense there would be less chests the team could afford to buff the contents of loot chests. The most popular way of getting money (and arguably the most fun) is loot running. The economy update did something to chests that ruined everything. The two ways I used to make money were Seavale Reefs (boring) and Corkus loot running (a bit less boring). Corkus loot running used to give you loads of powders and legendaries but now when I loot run I don't even get a single legendary or T4 powder. I saw that many of the T3 and T4 chests were either removed or replaced with T1 chests. How are players supposed to "acquire relatively good wealth without the need to get very lucky" when loot running is no longer an option?

    To fix loot chests
    1. Reduce the amount of random T1 and T2 chests
    2. Increase the amount of (good) items in chests and in the daily rewards
    3. Reduce the penalty of being on servers that have not been up for a while or opening chests that just spawned (having less loot)

    4. Putting loot chests in better locations wouldn't hurt (but don't hide them that well cause that would completely kill loot running)
    5. Make it easier to level up professions and get items to craft good items. Idk how hard it is to lvl up that much or find the rare ingredients, I haven't had time to get to lvl 100 in all 12 professions. Self made items can make it so players don't need to rely on getting mythics to be able to finish things like the Qira hive or even start legendary island. Leveling up professions right now is just pure grinding. I thought wynncraft was trying to cut down on grinding?

    Adding the in-game market helps players sell their items but it's useless if they can't get items to sell.
    and P.S. using full loot bonus equipment sucks.

    very many problems with this, lets getting typing
    this is what the CT accomplished when they moved all T3 and T4 chests to the ends of caves.
    see my first point. Plus since the chests where all moved and whatnot youre just going to have to wait for new LR routes. It didnt nerf chest contents, so once routes are found it will still be efficient like old runs.
    It was lootrunning that encouraged the need for insane luck to get rich. Cuz mythics and all.
    No point, they are meant to provide players with better gear as they progress. so they arent supposed to be rare or hidden, that gear also isnt supposed to be stacked in 1 chest

    its probs like this for ballance. since an older server is likely to have been run and more chests will be missing so everyone will loot chests on new servers. to combat this, there is significantly more loot in older chests
    I dont know what youre trying to say here. As you mention loot running it seems youre talking about T3 and T4 chests. But they are already in generally hidden/explore required areas sooooooo
    A few points here.
    1: What does profession XP have to do with lootchests
    2: Crafted items are almost never as powerful as mythics unless they have like no durability, and the ones that are will likely be nerfed
    3: Stop perpetuating or believing the myth that you need Mythics to complete anything, people can solo LI with fucking normal items.
    4: Who said Wynncraft was cutting down on grinding? Wynncraft had like no grinding before this anyway, which is almost non existent in an RPG.
    Items are still findable. I found a Warp like 3 days ago. on a lootrun.
    dont use full lootbonus gear then

    The changelog said "Don't have enough money for a Mythic but you really want to try some funky builds? You know what to do ;)" I assumed that crafted items would be good enough to be used instead of mythics. If they are not then for max level players are they just for making fun builds instead of being useful for fighting?

    For daily rewards I get like 30 emeralds and im lvl 101.

    I was bringing up an option that would also help balance chests, professions could make it so loot chests wouldn't be such a problem

    the last time I tried I got stuck on the virus doctor because it kept fully healing before I could kill it ;-; I guess I need a build more focused on damage. I'm using an ignition lifesteal build.

    Being able to make funky builds doesnt mean they will be as good as mythics, and also doesnt mean they will be useless in fightimg.
    Either your daily rewards streaks are getting ripped, or you have awful RNG. oof

    Oh boy. I'm currently in the process of brewing up a full guide for loot running in 1.18, and I'm sure it could do wonders for people who believe loot running is deader than dead. As for random Tier 1 and 2 loot chests being placed around, usually there's some mobs around the chests as a little challenge. I don't know. I may come across as way too defensive if I try to get into this, as I'm someone who loves loot running with loads of Tier 1 and 2 chests, but I feel like they're healthy for the game. It's small chance you get anything insane. Usually just helps players gather some emeralds throughout their journs, as they're first leveling up, and that's why I like them the most. Especially before 1.18 when there wasn't an extremely easy and convenient way to sell items in game.

    Also, if all chests just spawned with a lot of loot, rather than them having more loot the longer they've gone untouched, would be so bad for the game and I don't know why I would even have to explain that, lol

    Third edit: How do you not get any Tier 4 powders or Legendaries when loot running? Seems like you just got very unlucky. I get about 10 Legendaries an hour, and a boat load of powders still

    Why are loot chests server side instead of player side? Wouldn't it be better if players couldn't steal chests from each other and you don't have to find a server that no one has loot runned on?

    Pretty sure they're client side now, not server side. Can't confirm this, but I've opened just under 7,000 loot chests in the past couple days. Just under 7,000 chests. Think about that for a minute. Every single one of those chests has been spawned in while running. Every single one. 7,000 chests. That never happened previous to 1.18. Also, I've seen plenty of people around Corkus, also in loot run sets too, and every chest is spawned in and full, not just with 2-4 dinky emeralds. It's very safe to say they're client side now, from the experience I've had. Can not 100% confirm. Can only 99.99% confirm

    As far as Ik chests are not client side they just respawn a hell of a lot faster and alot less people are currently running them (preoccupied with 1.18) + more worlds up
