Why Not Make Wynncraft 1.13 Only

So recently Wynn craft became 1.9 to 1.13. So why not make it to the highest version only?
Ok let’s go through the positives: Much more blocks and items to add variety in weapons, all the mechanics will be the same for every individual.
I’m also aware that 1.13 is still buggy like with the horse glitch.
So we could improvise and make it 1.12-1.13 till we fix 1.13 bugs

 

Many people aren't willing to update their MC version for whatever reason, and in general the CT's afraid that doing this would drive away a good portion of their playerbase

 

because 1.13 is buggy as fuck and moving everything up to 1.13 (4 updates up) is gonna be such a pain in the ass its gonna be hilarious

 

Actually, it'd be better if we swapped to 1.12-1.13+ rather than 1.13+ entirely. The Economy Update will use mobs that you can't see properly in 1.9-1.11, but are viewable in 1.12. Most people won't mind the conversion to this, as most mods meant for WynnCraft are version 1.12 with less support for lower versions, Optifine, Forge, 5zig, whatever, they all have support for 1.12, so anyone using mods as an excuse for not updating are probly fking retarded

The server is already 1.13, it just has BungeeCord (or Hexacord?) support for versions 1.8 - 1.12. Otherwise, they won't be able to make use of the new mobs. Moving to 1.13 won't be a pain at all, the issue lies in the playerbase. I agree that 1.13 has many performance issues (basically unplayable without Optifine) though.

 

most people like that stayed in 1.8 cuz 1.9 pvp was "bad" so if they made it through updating past 1.8 WC wull be fine with going to 1.13 (that doesnt mean WC should though)

 

The 1.8 drop is likely to test the waters and how much this shakes the playerbase with 1.9’s history of being hated over the years, and more obviously because the devs needed more stuff to work with too. I’d perfer the devs when they drop older version support to be a smooth progression, with each update coming up using 1-2 versions’ content, and time for the moding community to convert their mods to 1.13 and on.

 

I was told they would basically have to rewrite A LOT of the code in order to update the server. Also yeah, people don't like updating past 1.8 because pvp (which is dumb because wynncraft doesn't have normal vanilla pvp but whatever).
I want this regardless. They could have so many new blocks to build with, so many new mobs to toy around with, and new features in general. I can't see it happening anytime soon though which makes me sad :(

Yea so why not make it 1.12 to 1.13
The recommended wynncraft version

 

This is really a decision that is made by the development team.
